NOAA SDS Project: An FCDR of SSM/I and j /SSMIS TBs

• Generate a transparent and documented Fundamental Climate Data Record (FCDR) of SSM/I and SSMIS brightness 

f 1987 Ptemperatures from 1987 – Present.– Obtain all data (including correct epehemeris & geolocation/EIA) 

and apply necessary correctionsand apply necessary corrections– Expect that this will be an ongoing process after initial period of 

activity (not exactly real‐time, but close)• Develop/implement multiple approaches for 

intercalibration and then identify and apply the best approach in the stewardship code to produce FCDRapproach in the stewardship code to produce FCDR.
