CJLEADS Future Functionality
• Conversion to HTML5 / SAS 9.4 Upgrade
• HTML5 is a modernized method of presenting information via the Internet
• Working to determine timeline – most likely after midyear 2016
• We will communicate in advance so users know browsers that will work with HTML5
• HTML5 will eventually replace the Flash environment (which requires a browser download) but not right away – will run in parallel for a while to allow plenty of preparation time.
• Once fully in production, the new version may have a different look and feel but will have all functionality that we currently enjoy
• Other efforts per recent legislation
• Federal Data
• MCA with DPS has been executed, setting the stage for CJLEADS to establish a web service to access Federal Data; preliminary planning in progress
• Work towards integrating with LInXs
• Workshop last month included LEOs; discussed the need to create a web service that could allow bi-directional access based on user roles
• Next steps: meeting to discuss technical feasibility prior to seeking board approval
• Work with DPS to implement a new intelligence-based case management system
