Quartango’s four instrumentalists go back to their roots, suffusing their repertoire with the sounds of the strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion that make up the symphony orchestra. The remark-able quality of the orchestral arrangements adds a whole new dimension to the group’s inimitable style. In recent years, Quartango has appeared with the Edmonton, Quebec, Regina, Gatineau, Billings and Montreal symphony orchestras, the Ottawa’s National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Or-chestre Métropolitain, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra and the New York Pops. When Quartango performs against the lush backdrop of a symphony orchestra, the excite-ment and intensity of the tango reach new heights!
