PROGRAMME: Masters Degree in Engineering Information System, ECE.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I have completed graduate studies at Valley View University and Adventist

International Institute of Advanced Studies, with a BSc computer science

and master degree in business administration emphasis information technology

respectively. I would like to be considered for a place in Masters Degree in

Engineering at ECE graduate school of engineering.

My biggest motivation for applying for consideration of the ECE scholarship is the

support given to candidates and the focus on individual development through mentoring

and extensive training. The benefits of these are evident from the high proportion of

successful graduates who are offeredJobs readily based on the importance

and respect attached to ECE Paris degree. I also consider the networked

operation of the University which exposes candidates to many more opportunities

than a graduate program which gives a great opportunity to make the most of

learning in a serene environment and at the same time establish useful

contacts with other students that come from different parts of the

world.

I believe that it will be an opportunity to study with internationally renowned

faculty from your Master of Engineering group during the intense MEng program

focusing training future engineers to create and manage information systems that are a

source of competitive advantage for todays leading companies in various settings as

well as the technical and social aspects involved in its development and management.

It's a much wider perspective of Information Systems major, trained to build technology

systems that satisfy business needs while learning to keep an eye on the future to see

how business needs might evolve due to new technologies.

During the MEng program at ECE Paris, I hope to be able to gain an in-depth

insight into managing the application of technology and exploring its context in

the modern business environment while also carrying out challenging and demanding

tasks which encourages ones critical thinking about wider issues outside narrow

technology boundaries at the same time being given the support necessary to

excel.

I want to be able to also gain an excellent foundation in the theory and practical

use of information systems. Learn the methods, tools, and techniques for managing

technology to achieve business value. Study with internationally renowned faculty from

your institution on this unique course.

I would also make the most of the networking opportunities and personal development

and training sessions offered by the university. I also anticipate that an

exposure to your institution would indeed be a step in the right

direction towards getting ready for a career, as it learning and research work

would indeed draw heavily on improving an individuals transferable skills.

While doing my undergraduate work I also served as a Computer Science Laboratory

Assistant to gain a practical experience and how to work with a team and from the

experiences I gathered during my Internship with World Vision Ghana.

The gradual developing of the Ghanaian society would need skills in

information system that would fit into the environment in the near

future, I realised that I would need to get a strong foundation from fast

paced and dynamic environment such as ECE Paris. I am an energetic,

ambitious, focused, driven, goal orientated and yet friendly person and I find it

very easy to work and contribute within a team both as a leader and

as a member.

I am very confident that apart from being able to learn a lot from the

university, I would also be able to offer a lot to my fellow colleagues

in terms of experience and knowledge that I have acquired over time.

As a computer science undergraduate and MBA emphasis IT scholar, I

have developed excellent analytical, numerical, programming and research

skills which are essential for a doing MEng program. I also possess excellent

communication skills having completed a course module in communication skills as

a part of my previous academic program. I am very eager to learn and am

comfortable with new ideas and methods. My discipline and resilience will ensure that I

keep a constantly high level of work. My time management skills as exercised by

having leadership commitments and still meeting tight deadlines with academic

work will also mean that I deliver the expected level of work even under pressure. To

add to these, my friendly disposition implies that I am an ideal candidate to become a

mentor on successful completion of the program and that I undergo a quick and

thorough integration within, and outside the ECE Paris network.

Upon completion of my program,I will be looking to gain employment in the

public sector, such as a local university or research organisation. I believe it will be a

good channel where I can transfer the knowledge gained in an optimized manner to my

country and future.

I am fully convinced that the two years I will spend at the ECE Paris

would go a long way in helping to determine the individual I would

become, and also in aiding for me to reach my goals and visions.
