Reinvest in State Aid to support local schools

Page 10: State Superintendent Evers Fair Funding for our Future Plan

1. Establish Minimum Aid Per Student: Ensure the State invests at least $3,000 per student in every Wisconsin kid.

2. Incorporate Ability to Pay (Poverty Factor): Account for local property wealth and family income in school funding.

3. Increase Transparency: Transfer the levy credit into state aid, so all school funding would go directly to districts.

4. Provide Predictability & Sustainability: Index revenue limits and state aid to inflation to keep pace with costs.

3Rs: REFORM School Funding Formula

Page 11: State Superintendent Evers Fair Funding for our Future Plan

• Restore respect in education starting with parents and teachers.

• Provide crucial resources to add back staff to reduce class sizes and restore cuts to career and technical education as well as electives like music, art, and physical education.

• Expand access to technology, next generation learning and career- and college-ready assessments like ACT.

3Rs: RESTORE Respect for Education
