• Inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H.Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, on January 27, 2009;

• The State Islamic University was established by the Decree of thePresident of the Republic of Indonesia No.50/2004 dated June 21,2004;

• The decree issued following Joint Decree (SKB) Minister ofNational Education and Religious Affairs of the Republic ofIndonesia No. 1/0/SKB/2004 and No. ND/BV/I/Hk.00.1/ 058/04dated January 23, 2004 concerning the transformation of IslamicState College to State Islamic University of Malang.

VISION:

Vision of the University is to be the leading Islamic university ineducation and teaching, research, and community service to producegraduates who have a deep spiritual, moral nobility, breadth ofknowledge, and professional maturity, and a center of science,technology, and art that having Islam as well be driving the progress ofsociety.

MISSION:

1. Delivering the student has a depth of spiritual, moral nobility, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity;

2. Providing service and tribute to diggers science, especially science and technology as well as having Islamic art;

3. Developing science, technology, and the arts through assessments and scientific research;

4. Uphold, practice, and provide exemplary in life on the basis of Islamic values and culture of the noble nation of Indonesia.

Owns distinctive characteristics in its structure of science tobe developed knowledge that is to integrate scientificknowledge with Islam.

Therefore, in its implementation, UIN of Maulana MalikIbrahim, Malang combines university traditions andtraditional Islamic boarding school or “ma’had” (known as“pesantren”).

Strong roots not only help support the tree roots, but also absorbthe content of extract of land for tree growth and development.

• Increase revenue due to the increase of student enrollment from 7.988 students (2009) to 11.810 students (2015)

• Increase number of overseas students (232 students from 29 countries).

• Increase number of lecturers from 287 (2009) to 327 (2015).

• As for the ratings Webometric UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim was ranked no.1 entire PTAIN, ranked no.23 throughout Indonesia and ranked no. 2085's in the world.

• Obtained ISO 9002

• Project Title : The Development and Up-grading of the STAIN Malang

• Project Financing : Islamic Development Bank (IDB) :USD 35 million(Istisna’a Agreement (IND-090) and Installment Sale Agreement (IND-091)

• Implementation Year : 2005 -2008

• Project Main Component : Civil Works/Building :

Administration/Rectorate, Library, Multipurpose/Campus Hall, Language Faculty and Laboratory, Micro Teaching, Green house, Faculty Apartment, Faculty Housing, mechanical and Electrical Facility, Student Center, Information Center, Science Technology Faculty & Engineering Lab., Social Science Department and Lecture, Graduate Studies and Dormitory.Equipment : Language Lab, Micro Teaching Lab, Resource Learning Center, Arabic, Languaege Center, Statistics Lab, Computer Technology Lab, Advance Computation Lab, Architecture Lab, Information Tech. & Image Proc. •Objective : Modernize and develop through rearrangement curriculum and

modernize it, through upgrading and development of existing program study in STAIN Malang to be Faculty, development of the common faculties/studies (like as : Science, Economic,Technology, etc), improving the quality of academic, additional staff, and strengthen a laboratory and libraries facilites.

National Accreditation• 7 Faculty and 1 Post Graduate (Total 29 Program Study) 32% have accreditation A, 60% with

accreditation B, 1% had a value of accreditation C and the remaining is not accredited for entry into a new category.

ISO 9001• Efforts to improve performance and obtain accreditation A was then pushed UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim

Malang to implement a quality assurance system. so chosen QMS ISO 9001: 2000. • In 2011, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang implement ISO 9001: 2008 and eventually in reaching an A

rating (score 364-as a top ranked), by decree No. 032 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / PT/ I / 2014 364 16-01-2019.

(Note : Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta (363) and the State Islamic University of Sunan KalijagaYogyakarta (361)).

JUSTIFICATION AND RATIONALE DEVELOPMENT OF STATE ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY (UIN) OF

MAULANA MALIK IBRAHIM, MALANGPHASE II

Justification of UIN Malang phase II project are as follows:

1. Respond new status as an Islamic State University acquired since June 21, 2004,the entire academic community more motivated to realize the magnitudeobsession make this campus as a Center of Excellence and Center of IslamicCivilization, which is based on four power; spiritual depth, breadth of knowledge,moral grandeur, and professional maturity reaching a human being "Ulul Albab".

2. One of the strong form of motivation is reflected in his efforts to prepare aStrategic Plan (Strategic Plan) Development of the State Islamic UniversityMaulana Malik Ibrahim Malang 25 Years of the Future (2005-2030) which makesUIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang as University Islam in Indonesia is known atinternational level became Wold Class University.
