Telecommunications
SIIT&T Informika provides telecommunication connectivity in information systems of federal science and education management. Data center of SIIT&T Informika supports scientific and educational portals, hosts domains: edu.ru, run.net, runnet,ru, mon.gov.ru, ed.gov.ru.
SIIT&T Informika supports international network segment of network Moscow–Saint Petersburg–Stockholm–Amsterdam of 2,5 GB/sec, participates in project GLORIAD aimed to build a transcontinental ring USA–Russia–China.
Within 10 years RUNNet has become a national supporting network with it’s own digital communication channels and backbone Internet access.
Telecommunications
The network numbers more than 1 500 000 individual users.
The network applies IPv6, MPLS over SDH, multicast.
The federal scientific and educational network RUNNet (Russian University Network), created and supported by SIIT&T Informika, has 55 regional network nodes.
RUNNet resources are used by scientific and educational networks of Russia such as RBNet, RASNet, RSSI, RUHEP, Freenet.
