Stars of Formula E get behind the camera for charity - Formula E drivers to take photographs of their daily lives - Montage of signed images will be auctioned at London ePrix Gala Dinner - Proceeds go to ONE DROP and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation London, Sunday 12th April 2015: The stars of the new all-electric FIA Formula E Championship will get behind the camera to help the sport’s charity partners by creating a unique piece of memorabilia commemorating the series’ inaugural season. The project is part of Zoom, an exciting initiative that brings together motor racing, charity and photography. All Formula E’s drivers will take photographs which will be autographed by them and framed in a 1.26m by 1.04m montage alongside signed images taken by team bosses and other famous faces connected to the series. Zoom gives fans the chance to see the world through the eyes of a racing driver as the participants can take a photo of whatever subject they choose, from behind-the-scenes at a race to relaxing at home with their pets to the glamorous destinations visited on their travels. The photos will be signed by the participants over the Monaco ePrix weekend before being auctioned by Coys at the Gala Dinner for the Formula E season finale in London on Friday 26th June. The beneficiaries will be ONE DROP and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Official International Foundation Partners for the FIA Formula E Championship. The partnership with Formula E joins the successful annual Zoom photographic auction in Formula One, which was launched in 2012. Formula E chief executive, Alejandro Agag, says: “We are delighted that Zoom will be part of our season finale. We are great supporters of ONE DROP and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and their commitment to sustainability and green initiatives, which ties in with the ethos of the FIA Formula E Championship. Zoom is a great way to benefit them.” Caroline Reid, co-founder of Zoom, says: “It’s fantastic to be working with an innovative new series like Formula E to expand the Zoom concept. The photo montage will be a unique item which will tell the story behind Formula E’s first season from the viewpoint of those who took part in it.” For further information contact: [email protected]

About FIA Formula E ChampionshipFormula E is a new FIA championship and the world’s first fully-electric racing series. It represents a vision for the future of the motor industry, serving as a framework for research and development around the electric vehicle, accelerating general interest in these cars and promoting sustainability. The first race took place in Beijing in September 2014, the first of 11 taking place in major cities around the world including London, Miami, Buenos Aires and Moscow. For the inaugural season, 10 teams, each with two drivers, will go head-to-head creating a unique and exciting racing series designed to appeal to a new generation of motorsport fans. Operating as an 'open championship' from season two, the series gives car manufacturers and constructors the opportunity to showcase their electrical energy innovations in a racing environment, designing cars to the technical specifications set out by the FIA.
