Winemaker Christian Stark is
an avid fan of Argentinean
wood-fired cuisine and is
excited to bring a taste of it to
the Stark Wine tasting room.
I really enjoy this style of
cooking because it combinesthe primal appeal of preparing
food over an open flame with a
refined technique and an
elegant presentation, says
Christian. When you cook
over a fire, the results can be
unpredictablelike nature. Its
very similar to making wine.
STARKN E W S
Dear Friends,
The grapevines are awakening from their winter slumber, the wildflowers are
in bloom, and we at Stark Wine couldnt be happier to welcome spring into our
little corner of Healdsburg. Spring is full of new beginnings and we feel it
fitting to announce that Stark Wine will be taking over the Garagiste
Healdsburg location and calling it all our own. Not only will we be able to
offer you an extended selection of Stark Wine for sampling and purchase in the
tasting room, we will be also be launching a special barrel
sample program where guests can visit our tiny working
winery and learn more about the Stark winemaking process.
We will also be expanding our special event program to
feature more music, additional art shows, and new food
offerings. One of the highlights of our expansion will be the
addition of a wine and cheese program, as well as a wood-
fired grill that will be used to prepare an exclusive summer
food menu. As some of you may know, winemaker ChristianStark is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy and
hopes to bridge his love of food and wine at Stark Wine.
We hope youll join us for our grand re-opening party
on June 8th! Until then, Happy Spring!
~Christian & Jen Stark

Artist Reception: Victoria Wagner
Friday, May 3, 2013; 5-7 p.m.
Artist Victoria Wagner will introduce a new installationof her work at Stark Wine. My work deals with
observation and mystery, says Wagner. I am fascinated
with unlikely material pairings that mimic everyday
surfaces. Within the familiar arc of a line, a simple form,
the pleasant cadence of the common geometric shape, I
work to encourage an experience that is slightly removed
from the history of its making Small bites will be
offered, along with wine available for purchase by the
glass or bottle.
Musician Katie Phillips
