The world premiere of The Empire Strikes Back was held on May
17, 1980 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The film had a
Royal Premiere in London three days later, and a series of other
charity benefit premieres were held in numerous locations on May 19
and 20. The film went on to official general release in North
America and the U.K. on May 21, 1980. The first wave of release
included 126 70 mm prints, before a wider release in June 198 The
Empire Strikes Back (also known as Star Wars Episode V: The Empire

The target audience for this film is children of the ages of 12
up to the ages of late 50, this is good because this means that
many people will watch the film, but the main types of people that
would and did watch this film are comic book geeks and fan boys/
girls of the film

segment of fandom which is generally interested in TV shows and
movies as its primary focus, and which encourages creative fan
works. Media fandom is often described in opposition to Science
Fiction Fandom, however there is a lot of crossover between the
two.
What is fanzine? A fanzine is a nonprofessional and nonofficial
publication produced by fans of a particular cultural phenomenon
for the pleasure of others who share their interest.
The film I pick is Star wars the empire strikes back the way
that the fans can create their own fandom of this block buster
film. Also they are able to create their own fanzine which they can
swap with other people and this has become quite popular. They can
also crate their own YouTube video about the film not just this
film but all of the star wars franchise, this can be the build up
to the new film. They can dedicate atumblrpage towards the film and
franchise for all the fanboys out heir.
