Chapter 1: OPENING SEQUENCE: (Space, after the logos of Fox and LucasFilm)

Opening Crawl:

War! The Republic is crumbling under attacks by the ruthless Sith Lord, Count Dooku. There are heroes on both sid

Evil is everywhere. In a stunning move, the fiendish droid leader, General Grievious, has swept into the Republic

apital and kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Galactic Senate. As the Separatist Droid Army attempts t

lee the besieged capital with their valuable hostage, two Jedi knights lead a desperate mission to rescue the captive

Chancellor.

Obi-Wan is now a Jedi Master and Anakin is a full-fledged Jedi Knight. During the battle, the Jedi use a new versio

he Jedi star fighters, which have been augmented for battle. Obi-Wan and Anakin make it their primary objective to

ree Palpatine from the Separatists. Palpatine is being held prisoner in the flag ship of the Separatist armada. This ju

happens to be the biggest and most heavily fortified star ship in the Separatists fleet. After much excitement, Obi-W

nd Anakin pilot their ships inside the Separatist ship holding Palpatine.

Soon after landing, General Grievous (the half-man and half-machine leader of the droid armies) comes after Obi-W

nd Anakin. The two Jedi manage to flee from Grievous and his battalion by using giant tubes. Obi-Wan and Anaki

hen proceed to an elevator and eventually run into Count Dooku.

The ongoing space battle over Coruscant is visible outside the massive windows of the General's Quarters on board

Federation Cruiser. The multi-leveled room is cold and metallic, featuring familiar flower-shaped control consoles o

ither side of the room. Palpatine can be seen, cuffed to a large (and also familiar) chair, across the room. The sound

he large entry doors are heard and our heroes Obi-Wan and Anakin step in, looking over the room from the small

balcony. The two proceed down one of the sets of stairs on either side of the balcony and walk to the kidnapped

Chancellor. There doesn't seem to be any sign of the rumored General Grievous... maybe this won't be so hard after

Dooku strides across the room confidently and says, "Your swords please, gentlemen. We don't want to make a mes

hings in front of the Chancellor." The two Jedi are not about to underestimate the Count again. They immediately

begin shedding their robes in preparation for battle. They walk forward to meet Dooku in the middle of the room. "T

ime we'll take him together." says Obi-Wan to his former apprentice. Anakin replies, "I was just about to say the sa

hing." as they come to a stop, standing face to face with Dooku once again. "You won't get away this time, Dooku."

tates Obi-Wan as he ignites his lightsaber. Anakin does the same. Dooku holds his saber out at his side and switche

on as well. "Do not assume that just because there are two of you, that you have the advantage." warns Dooku.

Palpatine looks on anxiously.

Within moments the duel has begun and the three fighters engage in a flurry of attacks and spins. Dooku manages to

keep both Jedi at bay with some extravagant swordplay. After a few seconds the fighting breaks and Dooku steps aw

rom the Jedi, backing toward the entrance side of the room. Anakin and Obi-Wan follow cautiously and together th

ttack again. This part of the room is more open and the three now fight with large lunges and traverse much more

distance. Acting on a quick moment of weakness, Dooku thrusts out his open palm at Obi-Wan, and sends the Jedi

lying backward with the Force. Anakin does not hesitate to continue his attack on the Sith Lord who cost him his ar

years ago. Anakin fights Dooku with much skill and confidence. Clearly, he has grown much more powerful since

heir last encounter. Anakin forces Dooku backward, and up the nearest set of stairs to the raised balcony.

Obi-Wan gets back to his feet and heads for the other set of stairs. The two SuperBattleDroids on the balcony now oire on Obi-Wan, who blocks and deflects the blaster shots as he proceeds up the stairs. He ricochets one blaster bolt

back at the farthest droid, which strikes the droid's chest and takes him out. The other droid continues shooting and

begins walking down the stairs. Obi-Wan swiftly hacks the SuperBattleDroid in half as he passes it to reach the top

he stairs. He rejoins the action and the duel becomes two-on-one again.

Dooku is determined to separate his opponents so that he can handle them each separately. Dooku delivers a strong

kick to Anakin, which sends him tumbling back. Dooku then uses the Force to attack Obi-Wan once again. This tim

he holds Obi-Wan in place, and levitates him several feet up. Then, in a quick motion, he sends Obi-Wan flying acro

he room, and into a balcony on a far wall. After smashing into the balcony's railing, Obi-Wan drops to the floor,

unconscious. Dooku intends to finish the job and as he holds out his hand, he uses the Force to pry that balcony fromhe wall, allowing it to fall onto Obi-Wan. The balcony crashes down, but only part of it lands on Obi-Wan's leg.

Anakin attacks Dooku with even more fury. They fight their way back down the stairs to the floor below. As they gr

heir sabers against each other, Dooku comments that he senses the dark side in Skywalker: Anger, aggression... "Bu

you do not use it." he says. They clash swords again and fight their way back closer to Palpatine, who watches inten

Dooku and Anakin do battle with all they've got, and in a very quick motion, the victor is revealed.

Anakin hits down Dooku's arms with his lightsaber hilt and pulls Dooku's saber out of his hands in the moment of

onfusion. Simultaneously he slices his blade through both of Dooku's wrists. Dooku reacts with a shocked expressind the triumphant Anakin stands tall with a lightsaber in each hand. Dooku looks at his cut-off forearms and drops

his knees. Anakin steps forward and lowers the lightsaber blades in a scissor-like fashion to Dooku's neck.

Dooku looks up at Anakin and for the first time we see fear in his eyes. Anakin is now hesitating, realizing that killi

Dooku is unnecessary since he can now be easily arrested. In a commanding tone, Palpatine says to finish him.

Breaking character, Dooku turns to Palpatine with a look of surprise and says, "What?! You promised me amnesty..

This only seems to confuse Anakin. Palpatine again insists that Anakin finish the job. "I know I shouldn't..." Anakin

ays to himself. But after a few more of Palpatine's words, Anakin looks down at the defenseless Sith Lord and deci

t's time to put an end to him for good.

Anakin helps palpatine out of his restraints. As Palpatine rubs his chafed wrists and stands, he reassures Anakin, "H

was too dangerous to be left alive." Anakin expresses some remorse at what he's done, but Palpatine reminds him th

his is not the first time he's done something like this. "Remember what you told me?" Palpatine says, "About your

mother and the Sand people?" Anakin does not continue the conversation as he rushes to his fallen friend Obi-Wan.

Anakin pulls him from the balcony and inspects him. Palpatine walks past them in a bit of a rush and heads up the st

oward the doorway.

Anakin reports that Obi-Wan doesn't appear severely hurt. Palpatine turns and looks down from the balcony.

Leave him." he says. Anakin looks up as if to demand an explanation. Palpatine says that they must go quickly, andaking Obi-Wan would only slow them down. Anakin states that he will not leave Obi-Wan behind... "His fate will b

our own."

On the bridge of the Invisible Hand, the situation is getting rough. Anakin and Obi-Wan have just chopped up the

MagnaGuards, SuperBattleDroids, and Droidekas when Grievous decides it's time to say goodbye. "I am sorry I don

have time to fight you." says Grievous. "It would have been an interesting match but I have an appointment with an

scape pod and you... YOU have appointments with death."

Grievous shoots a hook into a panel support, ignites the electrostaff, and throws it at the viewport. The transparisteewindow is broken and a huge gust of wind blows Grievous out to space. Emergency shutters seal the bridge tight.

Using a cable and his magnetized feet/claws on the outer hull, Grievous crawls to the external hatch of the only brid

scape pod. Unfortunately, Grievous ejected the rest of the escape pods before leaving - which is why Anakin has to

and the crumbling cruiser on Coruscant; there is no other option.

Chapter 2: Political Developments

Mas Amedda and Palpatines royal guards arrive and take Palpatine to the Galactic Senate. As Palpatine disembarks

hip that carried him to the Senate, Palpatine is greeted by a group of Senators and Jedi Knights. Palpatine enters the

Senate and Padme Amidala is waiting for Palpatine. Padme is wearing clothes that hide her pregnancy. Her marriag

Anakin remains a complete secret. Before the Senate, Palpatine announces that the Separatist leader (Count Dooku)

now dead and that the Separatists are in disarray. Palpatine advises that the Republic must strike against the Separatwhile the Separatists are in chaos. Palpatine announces the establishment of Regional Governors across the galaxy.

However, this is a move not welcomed by many Senators since the orders for the governors comes directly from

Palpatine - not the Senate. Two influential members of the Senate decide to act against the Chancellor. Senator Bail

Organa and Senator Mon Mothma decide to pull together the Star Systems that are opposed to Palpatine's new

dictatorship. "As a practical matter, as of this morning, the Senate no longer exists." explains Mon Mothma. The Sen

no longer has control. Senator Mon Mothma and Senator Bail Organa have begun to form alliance; an organization.

After a small meeting in Bail's office, Mon Mothma and Bail discuss two names to lead a petition against the

Chancellor; Terr Taneel and Amidala. Mon Mothma wants Amidala, although Bail is unsure of her choice. "She is

ntelligent, principled, extremely articulate, and she has the heart of a warrior" states Mon Mothma. "How sure can y

be that she will stand with us, and not with him?" asks Bail Organa.

Chapter 3: Anakin and Padme

n the bedroom of Padme's Coruscant Apartment, Anakin and Padme share a tender moment, embracing and sharing

kiss. Padme takes Anakin's flesh hand and presses it against her belly. "He keeps kicking," says Padme. "He?" Anak

ays surprised. "I thought you'd ordered your medical droid not to spoil the surprise." "Oh, I didn't get this from Em

t's my..." Padme smiles, "...motherly intuition." Anakin feels another kick and laughs. "Motherly intuition, huh?" he

questions. "With a kick that hard? Definitely a girl." Padme tells Anakin he must leave, because she has a meeting w

other Senators very soon. The Regional Governors Decree has begun.

Chapter 4: A Volatile Assignment

Dreams pass in time Obi-Wan Kenobi, Episode II. But what if they dont? Anakins fears of his dreams leads h

on the path to the Dark Side in Revenge of the Sith. After he returns to the arms of his beloved, Padme, Anakin has

dream; a premonition, that wakes him during the night. In his dreams, he sees the death of his wife when she gives b

o their child; it is a death he cannot stop. A fear sets into Anakin, as he remembers the same premonition that plagu

him about his mother. It is also a burning issue that even Yoda cannot soothe when he warns the young Jedi about F

Premonition and Mortality. Unable to put the dream from his mind, Anakin seeks out his greatest confidant, Chance

Palpatine. In a brief scene in the Chancellors Office, the pair discusses Anakins new assignment and the dream tha

haunts Anakin. Palpatine warns Anakin about the true goals of the Jedi Council. He claims that the Jedi are not only

gainst himself, but also against the Senate and the whole democratic system. Is the Jedi Council a democratic bod

tself? After all, isnt Anakin being told what to do? Haven't they tried to convince you to act against me? Palpat

questions earnestly. Anakin realizes that Palpatine is right. The Jedi Council believe that Palpatine is under the

nfluence of the Sith. Little do they know that he is the Sith Master. In an effort to learn more about the Chancellor,

edi Council instruct Anakin to stay on Coruscant to watch him spy on him, while Obi-Wan leads his mission to

Utapau. They know Anakin has a close relationship with the Chancellor. Anakin is assigned as Palpatines personal

bodyguard.

Chapter 5: More Political Developments

Alderaan has no armed forces; we don't even have a planetary defense system!" exclaims Bail Organa. Hundreds o

governors with large security forces made up of thousands of clones are being dispatched around the galaxy. Amida

s not happy; it is a memory of the Federation's control of Naboo. In a meeting in her Coruscant Apartment, Mon

Mothma offers the opportunity for Amidala to lead a petition against the rule of the Chancellor. With two thousand

ignatures, Mon Mothma and Bail hope to stop the Chancellor from taking away more of the democracy of the

Republic with a showing of solidarity from the Senate. Amidala is happy to lead but has one condition: "I think wehould consult the Jedi. But who does she trust? There is only one answer for her, an old friend; Master Kenobi. Af

he meeting of Senators in Amidala's Apartment, Padme has a guest visit. It is Master Kenobi. Master Kenobi revea

Padme that he knows about the relationship between Anakin and Padme; and also of their child. It is at this point tha

Amidala knows that she can trust Obi-Wan with the information about the Delegation of Two Thousand and the

Rebellion growing in the Senate. In other parts of the galaxy, the Jedi and clone trooper forces continue to battle the

Separatist military in various star systems. On Kashyyyk (the Wookiee home world), Yoda oversees clone troopers

during an important battle.

Chapter 6: Anakin and Padme

A sleek silver speeder approaches the side of Amidala's veranda. Senator Amidala steps out and is greeted by her tw

handmaidens. Also waiting for her is Anakin. He is on his way to an evening out at the Coruscant Opera House.

He is celebrating an event with his friend, Chancellor Palpatine. Anakin tells Padme that he has been appointed to th

edi Council. Padme congratulates him, but Anakin is not that happy. He's pissed off because it's merely a political

gesture and he was only accepted as a representative, not as Master. The conversation soon turns political. Anakin is

quite sure if the Republic is something worth defending any longer. He is absolutely sure that without Palpatine thin

would have been even worse. Padme, on the other hand starts to talk like a Separatist: she's not sure who the bad guyre, and even thinks there are some within the Republic itself that are there to destroy it. Anakin is dejected, tired an

deadly worried about Padme's life - and in this heavy atmosphere they part.

Chapter 7: A Trap for Obi-Wan

After the failed attack on Coruscant, the separatist general known as Grievous contacts Lord Sidious. Sidious instruc

his general to go to a secret base on the distant, neutral planet of Utapau. When he arrives on the planet, he is to wai

or the arrival of the Jedi Master: then he is to destroy him. But how does he get the Jedi Master to go there? Via

Anakin Skywalker. Anakin receives a report from Palpatine through the Chancellors Clone Intelligence network. T

network has discovered the secret base of Grievous. Anakin passes this information onto the Jedi Council who sendsObi-Wan Kenobi to finally lead an assault to destroy the General. On a new planet never before seen in a Star Wars

movie, Obi-Wan (with his contingent of clone troopers) finds General Grievous. A spectacular battle erupts between

Obi-Wan and his forces vs. Grievous and Grievous battle droids. The battle is waged on a high cliff top with a

breathtaking view around them. What follows next is a chase sequence, whereby Obi-Wan (riding a computer-anim

izard-like creature) chases after Grievous, who is riding a device that looks similar to a Hailfire droid. The chase

omes to an end and Obi-Wan and Grievous launch into a light-saber battle. During this battle, Grievous arms split

wo and Grievous is suddenly wielding four light sabers against Obi-Wan. Eventually, Obi-Wan finishes Grievous o

with blaster fire from a gun. While dying, Grievous' eyes are ejected from their sockets. Back on Coruscant, there ar

demands that Palpatine must surrender his emergency powers since the Clone Wars appear to be at an end. Palpatine

tates that he will not give up his emergency powers. Palpatine now claims that he must keep his emergency powers

battle the threat posed by the Jedi Knights.

Chapter 8: Anakin and Palpatine

n the Galaxies Theatre, Anakin Skywalker is the guest of the Chancellor Palpatine. The elite of Coruscant have

gathered to watch the graceful movements of a female Mon Calamari soloist. As the graceful dancer moves about

tage, Chancellor Palpatine recounts an old story; The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise. This infamous Dark Lor

he Sith supposedly gained such an insight into The Force that he was actually able to influence the midichlorians to

reate life. Anakin becomes interested in this story after his haunting dreams of Padmes death perhaps this time h

ould prevent her death, unlike his mothers. Anakin asks what happened to Plagueis in the story. Palpatine says thawas murdered by his apprentice as soon as he discovered the same power. Still thinking about Padme, Anakin asks

Would it be possible to learn this secret in some way? "Clearly, not from the Jedi," replies Palpatine with a gentle

mile.

Chapter 9: Choosing Sides

As the Chancellor tightens his grip over the galaxy, Amidala takes the Petition of Two Thousand to the Chancellor.

However, it is quite a showdown. Standing beside Palpatine at the meeting is his loyal representative - Anakin

Skywalker. Anakin has been asked specifically to appear at this meeting - a new intimidating figure against the leadof the Delegation of Two Thousand. The Chancellor rejects the petition offered, infuriating Amidala, who storms ou

he meeting. Palpatine begins to tell Anakin about the Sith, the Jedis lack of vision; Palpatine begins to tell Anakin

he can have anything he wants; all he has to do is wish it and act accordingly. He also claims he can help Anakin to

ave Padme

Darth Plagueis was real," says Palpatine. Anakin looks at him shocked "Real?" "Darth Plagueis was my master. H

aught me the key to his power," Palpatine states, "...before I killed him." Anakin draws his lightsaber, ready to strik

deadly blow against Sidious. But Sidious, who did not even try to resist, starts to talk about how the Sith, unlike the

edi, do not submit to fate. "A Jedi gains power through understanding; a Sith gains understanding through power.."

Palpatine begins to tell Anakin how much he wants to bring peace and order to the galaxy and how his knowledge w

die with him - and so will Padme... That's enough to stop Skywalker. He cannot kill The Sith; he wants to turn him i

The Jedi. And so he does.

Chapter 10: Betrayal

n the Communication Centre in the Jedi Temple, Mace gets a message about Obi-Wan's success. Suddenly, Anakin

nters. He's in deep shock. He gives Mace the truth: Palpatine is Sidious! Mace orders him to stay at the Council

Chamber, and decides it's time to act against the Chancellor. As Yoda is on Kashyyyk defending the Clone Comman

Centre situated there, and Anakin cannot be fully trusted, Agen Kolar, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin take

Republic Gunship to Palpatine's private office to arrest him. However, this action is not welcome by all members of

The Jedi Council - some who believe they should wait for Yoda's return. Mace commands Shaak-Ti to begin to prepor the defence of The Temple against a possible retaliation attack. As Shaak-Ti prepares to defend the Jedi Temple,

Anakin Skywalker takes a speeder, and through the pouring rain, flies to Chancellor's Office. Meanwhile, the Jedi

rrive at the Senate. Mace and his posse make their way towards the private office of Palpatine where he is awaiting

hem. As they enter the office, Palpatine activates an audio recording device and secretly hides his saber in the sleev

his robe. The trap is set. The four Jedi confront Palpatine who acts surprised and fearful. The Jedi light their sabers.

But, without warning, Palpatine strikes first; killing Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar within a fraction of a second.

Murder! Treason!" he shouts. Then he smiles. Putting his finger to his lips, and winking at the two Jedi, Palpatine

destroys the recording device with a stab of his red lightsaber. "Enough of this!" declares Sidious; and with a slash o

his saber, the green head of Kit Fisto lands on the Chancellor's control centre. Mace begins his attack. The two fight

moving into the public office of the Chancellor. Outside in the rain, Anakin drives the speeder close to the window.

Fisto's head stares directly at him from upon the desk. Anakin lights his saber and cuts through the glass, entering thprivate office. When Anakin arrives at the window of the private office, he can see only bodies and Fisto's head. He

uts through the glass and steps inside. Passing through the short corridor, he enters the Chancellors public office,

where Palpatine duels with Master Windu. Anakin stands by and watches the duel in the shadows. The battling Mac

uts a hole in the window of the office, planning to push Sidious out, but that does not work initially. They fight aga

lowly moving towards the window. They eventually end up outside the office, on the narrow ledge of the Republic

Executive Office. The rain continues to fall. After intense fighting, Mace cuts Palpatine's saber in half. The Sith

uddenly turns and addresses Anakin who can now be seen in the office. Mace warns Anakin to return to the Jedi

Temple as instructed, but Palpatine begs for Anakin to protect him against the undemocratic Jedi. Again, Mace tries

onvince Anakin otherwise, but then Palpatine pleads, 'You remember the story of Darth Plagueis the Wise?' Anakin

ooks at Palpatine, ignoring Mace. "Darth Plagueis was real," says Palpatine.

Anakin looks at him shocked. "Real?..." "Darth Plagueis was my master. He taught me the key to his power," he saidSuddenly, Palpatine's voice turned cold, and old, "...before I killed him." Mace tries to tell Anakin not to believe him

Palpatine raises his head, an old, withered man appears from beneath the shadows of the cowering Chancellor. "I

annot, I turn myself over to you. I am too weak in the end. Too old, weak ... I give up. Don't kill me, Master Windu

urrender...". "You see? Didn't I warn you of the Jedi and their treason?" he says. Mace continues his stare at the

Chancellor. Suddenly, just when Mace is about to strike down and destroy the Sith, Palpatine unleashes his power an

ightning strikes from his hand. His face ages dramaticially into an aged old man before the Jedi's eyes. "FOOL!" he

xclaims. Mace blocks the lightning with his blade but this is a hard moment for both combatants as they both begin

all to Anakin. Anakin now stands at Mace's shoulder, unsure what to do: Sidious wants him to kill the traitor but th

edi Master orders him to kill the Sith and fulfill his destiny as the Chosen One. At last, Palpatine collapses and beg

or mercy from Mace. Mace, however, does not accept it. He moves for a final blow and then... "Wait!" cries Anaki

grabbing Mace's arm from delivering the final blow. "Don't kill him...you just can't kill him Master. "Yes I can," replies Mace, "I have to."

You came to arrest him. He has to stand trial. "

A trial would be a joke. He controls the courts. He controls the Senate."

So are you going to kill all of them too?" asks Anakin. "Like he said you would?"

Mace yanks his arm free. "He's too dangerous to be left alive. If you could have taken Dooku alive, would you have

Anakin stares at Mace, "That was different."

You can explain the difference after he's dead," replies Mace sternly.

I need him alive! I need him to save Padme!" says Anakin to a bewildered Mace. Anakin's internal conflict grows.

Anakin weighs up the role of the undemocratic Jedi, the omission from the Jedi Council, the ideals and concepts of

Palpatine, the loyalty of Palpatine, Palpatine willing to share the way to control midichlorians to create life... to save

Padme - his loved one. Anakin lunges towards Mace just as the Jedi turns and is about to finish his final strike again

he Sith. Anakin unleashes his anger and cuts off Mace's saber hand. Sidious jumps to his feet, raises his hands and

ightning strikes from them, zapping Mace in revenge with full veracity - and with his lightning he lifts up the disab

edi and throws him out of the broken window out into the Coruscant traffic and his death below. Once Mace is kill

Anakin pledges his attachment to the Sith Order. Sidious gives him the title DARTH VADER and instructs him in h

irst mission, the sterilization of the Jedi Temple.

Chapter 11: Searching for a Jedi Master

The Tantive IV enters the Kashyyyk system on silent running, without active scanning - it is still a combat zone.

Using a Jedi homing beacon that was stolen by Captain Antilles from Master Saesee Tiin's Jedi Fighter, Senator Bai

Organa is looking for a certain survivor... (Yoda) The scan tech frowned at his screen. "It's... Wookiee, sir. That doe

make any sense. Why would a Wookiee escape pod be outbound from Kashyyyk?" "Interesting." "Lifesigns?" asks

Bail. "Yes, well, maybe..."

Chapter 12: Rise of the Empire

Palpatine claims that the Jedi are traitors to the Republic and that the Jedi were actually conspiring with Count Dook

o defeat the Grand Old Republic. Palpatine insists that the Jedi are to blame for the millions of deaths and the

destruction of many star systems during the Clone Wars. Also, Palpatine relates the story of how a Jedi Master tried

ssassinate him. Luckily, Anakin was there to save Palpatine from this would-be Jedi assassin. Palpatine retains his

yrannical powers and announces the creation of his Empire. Next, Palpatine orders the Republic military to find the

edi and destroy them all. An Empire is enthusiastically welcomed by the Senate (to the horror of Senator Amidala aSenator Binks).

Those opposed to Palpatine (Padme, Bail Organa and Mon Mothma of Chandrila) hold a meeting to discuss what ha

ust transpired regarding Palpatines extreme power grab. They decide to take no action at the moment and to see ho

hings will develop. An assassination attempt is made on Bail Organas life. Bail makes his way to a landing platfor

where his red speeder is waiting for him. To avoid laser fire, Bail hides behind his speeder.

Now the clone troopers receive their orders to hunt down the Jedi. Palpatine sends an order through his Clone

ntelligence: ORDER 66. As Obi-Wan tries to end the separatist occupation of Utapau, he comes under attack from own Clone Commander. Obi-Wan has to kill a clone trooper, who had become Obi-Wans friend during the Clone

Wars. The decimation of the Jedi by the clone troopers is seen occurring in several star systems across the galaxy. In

he fortified Command Centre on Mygeeto, Ki-Adi-Mundi comes under attack. The order continues to spread across

he galaxy - Kashyyyk, Felucia and Tellanroaeg; rehabiliation centres and medical facilities, space cantinas and

military installations.

On Coruscant, the order is already well underway. Darth Vader has led an attack on the Temple - Senator Organa on

his way to Senate, sees smoke above the Jedi Temple and decides to take a closer look at the damage inflicted by the

Sith Lord. Meanwhile, Yoda happens to be on Kashyyyk when the clone troopers turn on him. Chewbacca and other

Wookiees save Yoda from the clone trooper betrayal. While on Kashyyyk, Yoda finds an ancient Sith manuscript.Yoda believes he must go to the Jedi Temple and meditates on future events.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan hides on a new world. The leader of this world graciously welcomes Obi-Wan and promises t

help Obi-Wans plight.

Chapter 13: Vader and Padme

After Vader (formerly Anakin Skywalker) destroys the Jedi Temple, Before leaving on his mission to kill the last of

Seperatist leaders on Mustafar, Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, goes to visite Padme. Vader clearly states that h

has put down a Jedi Rebellion and that Mace Windu and other Masters tried to assassinate Palpatine. He admits that

onsiders Obi-Wan dead. He tries to convince Padme that the Jedi are traitors and have to be "dealt with." However

Vader tells Padme that she is safe as long as she keeps away from the rebellious Senators. Padme asks how she is sa

der reveals that she is safe because she is with him. He discussed it with Palpatine who has granted her protection aong as she stays out of the Delegation of Two Thousand. Padme is surprised that Palpatine knows of the marriage.

Vader reveals that Palpatine has always known. He was able to find out through friends in Theed's clergy. Vader sta

Chapter 14: A New Sith Apprentice Revealed

After returning to Coruscant, Yoda and Obi-Wan quickly make their way to the Jedi Temple. Obi-Wan Kenobi and

Yoda enter the Temple disguised. Amazed at the carnage, Obi-Wan wants to see for himself the damage Anakin has

n a gallant effort to save the Jedi throughout the galaxy, the two Jedi switch the Jedi beacons from Return home t

Run for cover. Obi-Wan and Yoda watch the security camera's of the Jedi Temple. Kenobi finds the holoscan

ecording. Obi-Wan staring, cannot believe what he sees and hears. In front of him he sees Anakin bow before the S

Lord. "The traitors have been destroyed, Lord Sidious. And the archives are secured. Our ancient holocrons are agai

he hands of The Sith," says Vader. "Good... good. Together, we shall master every secret of The Force," says the Si

Master. "You have done well my new apprentice, do you feel your power growing?" "Yes, my Master." "Lord Vade

your skills are unmatched by any Sith before you. Go forth, my boy. Go forth and bring peace to our Empire." Keno

huts down the holoscan, then collapses on the floor in agony. "I can't watch any more." he exclaims in revoltion as

ees Anakin murder the Jedi Younglings. "Destroy the Sith, we must." Yoda proclaims in response to Obi-Wan.

Chapter 15: Obi-wan and Padme

Obi-Wan visits Padme and reveals to her the truth about Anakin; the slaughter in the Temple, his allegiance to Sith.

He asks her if she knows where Anakin is: she says no. He also knows that Padme is a woman who does not stay

till. So he waits for her to board her Royal Naboo Starship with Threepio and Artoo. Just as the ramp into the ship i

bout to close, Obi-Wan secretly stows away aboard the ship.

Chapter 16: Yoda and Darth Sidious

Meanwhile Master Yoda makes his way to the Great Senate to meet his deadliest foe Yoda walks down a long

hallway that leads to the entrance of a room called the "Holding Office of the Supreme Chancellor." Two Imperial

Guards block the room. As Yoda approaches lightning shoots from the hands of the Emperor. Yoda makes a subtle

gesture and deflects the lightning; shocking the Imperial Guards into unconciousness. Yoda removes his lightsaber a

he Great Battle begins. "Your time is over! The Sith rule the galaxy! Now and forever!" says Sidious. Suddenly in

Yoda's hand, a new creation is born. From the Jedi that had secretly bonded themselves together over the last millen

blade of light is formed. "At an end your rule is, and not short enough it was, I must say," replies Yoda. Then, from

hidden place within his robe, Sidious pulls back the cloth and a small weapon falls into his hand. When the blades

meet, it is more than Yoda against Palpatine, more the millennia of Sith against the legions of Jedi; it is the expressi

of the fundamental conflict of the universe itself. Light against dark.

As the mighty foes fight each other, the battle progresses into the Senate, where both sides of the Force continue the

ge old war. With speed and veracity the duel moves closer to the huge Chancellor's Pod that occupies the middle of

he room until the Jedi and the Sith are upon its great foundations. Suddenly, the pod begins to rise as the two

ombatants battle it out. In the middle of the Senate, bolts of lightning flash from the pod. Suddenly, delegation pod

ree themselves of the curving walls and slam throughout the chamber - some by the use of the Force, others by the

ontrol panels. Sidious jumps onto one of the flying pods. Yoda goes to follow but is hit by a bolt of lightening and

alls. Sidious, exhausted, looks down into the debris below, but Yoda is not to be seen. Immediately, Sidious calls h

Clone Intelligence and the Senate Building is stormed by his Imperial Army.

n the basement of the Senate Chamber, among the debris of delegation pods, Yoda makes a quick exit through aervice accessway - running as fast as he can to escape the Emperor. He soon comes to a stop and uses his comlink t

ontact Senator Organa. Bail receives the transmission and soon turns his red speeder towards the Senate building.

Using his lightsaber, Yoda begins to cut through the floors on the Senate - one by one until he comes to the final lay

of the Senate building that overhangs hundreds of feet above the ground outside. He cuts through the final layer, jus

ime for Bail to come roaring through the Coruscant traffic to his aid. Yoda jumps down into the speeder.

Are you wounded, Master Yoda?" asks Bail. "No" replied Yoda, "Only my pride."

Chapter 17: Mustafar

On the mythic lava planet, Mustafar, a separtist stronghold is located. The secret bunker is "worth a fortune" accord

o Nute Gunray and "able to withstand an attack of ten thousand Jedi" as Grievous puts it. There is also an automate

ava mine built by the Techno Union to draw precious metals from liquid stone. From it's command center, all

battledroids in the galaxy can be deactivated, which they summarily are as a matter of fact, exactly one hour before

Vader's arrival. Which means the Clone Wars are over. When Vader arrives on Mustafar, San Hill is the first to be

killed, followed by Shu Mai, then Rune Haako, Wat Tambor, and finally Nute Gunray.

Meanwhile, the Naboo Skiff lands. After Padme arrives on Mustafar in her sleek, silver Naboo skiff, she quickly ex

he ramp and runs to Anakin. She begins to relay to Anakin Obi-Wans accusations about the massacre in the Jedi

Temple. However, instead of refuting the accusations, Anakin replies, "Obi-Wan's alive?" Padme starts to worry tha

Obi-Wan will track Anakin down and kill him. Anakin questions Padme to find out if she told Obi-Wan where he w

She replies that she didn't tell him. Satisfied with her response, Anakin begins to lure Padme into a more deadly plan

his plan to rid the galaxy of Palpatine. He tries to convince Padme to let Palpatine declare himself Emperor. He sta

hat the Republic needed to be destroyed; the Jedi, the Separatists... Once Palpatine unites everyone under his Empir

he will kill him, then Anakin and Padme can rule the galaxy together. Padme is not happy with this, and just as she

begins to tell him to stop, Anakin spots Obi-Wan exiting the ship. "You" growls Anakin, in a dark voice his eyeurning non-human. Padme turns around to see Obi-Wan walking towards them Padme, move away from him, say

Obi-Wan calmly. "Obi-Wan? No! exclaims Padme. She turns back to her husband only to find him looking at her w

ntense anger. You...you brought him here?! says Anakin dumbfounded. Suddenly, Padme begins to gasp...Anakin

uses the Force to choke her. Anakin tells her how much he loved her as Padme desperately tries to breathe. Let her

go, pleads Obi-Wan. You're not going to take her away from me, adds Anakin. Anakin, in turn, blames Obi-Wan

urning her against him. Anakin looks at Obi-Wan and replies, Never! And with that, Padme faints. Obi-Wan races

over and checks Padme's pulse. Anakin offers Obi-Wan a chance to leave for old times sake. But Obi-Wan is on

mission to destroy the Sith.

As Threepio and Artoo drag Padme's body up to the ship, The Duel to destroy Vader beginsand continues.untilObi-Wan dives into a forward roll that ends up with him on the rim of a low cliff, just above the soft black sand of a

ava riverbank. Anakin snarls at Obi-Wan, realizing he has been tricked. He leaps off his droid at Obi-Wan's back bu

half a second too slow. Obi-Wan whirls to parry Anakin, but his saber doesn't meet Anakin's blade. Instead, he slice

off Anakin's leg at the knee. Then he slices of the other leg at the knee. And while Anakin is still in the air, Obi-Wan

uses his blade to slice off Anakin's left arm above the elbow. He steps back as Anakin falls. Anakin drops his

ightsaber, clawing at the edge of the cliff with his mechanical hand, but his grip becomes too powerful for the lava

bank and the edge crumbles, and he slides down onto the black sand. His severed legs and his severed arm rolls into

ava below him and immediately burns. Anakin claws at the soft black sand, but his struggling only makes him slip

arther. The sand itself is hot; digging his mechanical arm into it burns off his glove, and his robes begin to smolder

Obi-Wan picks up Anakin's lightsaber. He lifts his own as well and weighs them in his hands. Anakin had based his

design upon Obi-Wan's and thus they appear very similar.

Obi-Wan..." pleads Vader from the riverbank. Kenobi looks down. Vader's jedi robes burn while his hair is blacken

You were the chosen one! It was said you would destroy The Sith, not join them. It was you who would bring balan

o The Force, not leave it in darkness. You were my brother, Anakin," says Obi-Wan. "I loved you, but I could not s

you." Above in the sky, Obi-Wan sees a Theta-Class shuttle entering the atmosphere. Suddenly, Darth Vader bursts

nto flame. "I hate you" screams Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi turns, not wanting to go against the Jedi Code and murder

walks away.

Chapter 18: Yodas New Master

Bail, Yoda and Obi-Wan bring the wounded Padme to Polis Massa for medical treatment. In a glass observation dom

on a medical station in the Polis Massa Belt, Yoda speaks to The Force as he has done for a long time. The Force

nswers him with the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn. Qui-Gon Jinn tells Yoda not to blame himself for what happened but

Yoda insists that he had been too old, too rigid, he had not noticed the changes in the galaxy... Yoda had not let The

Order change with it, he never learned the full depth of The Force. Qui-Gon defends the old Master. He also suggeshat Yoda will have a lot of time to learn the ways of the Force and - with his help - he will be able to join with The

Force and yet retain his consciousness and in time, maybe even physical form. However, this sounds to Yoda like th

dea of eternal life. Qui-Gon agrees and reminds him that eternal life is exactly what the Sith are looking for, but the

never find it... Qui-Gon states: "...by the release of self, not the exaltation of self. It comes through compassion, not

greed. Love is the answer to the darkness." Yoda admits he underestimated Qui-Gon's potential as a Jedi Master. So

Yoda decides to learn from Qui-Gon. Bowing, he declares, "Qui-Gon, your apprentice, I gratefully become."

Chapter 19: Death in the Present and Hope for the Future

Padme lies in childbirth with Obi-Wan at her side. "If it's a girl... we were going to name her Leia..." says Padme as

birth of her daughter begins. A medical droid approaches Padme. "It's a boy," it says. Padme reaches out and touche

he infants head. "Luke," she says. A second baby is baby is brought to her by the droid. "It's a girl," says the droid.

Padme is no longer her self - she is delirious. "Anakin!" she suddenly cries. Obi-Wan comforts her, telling her that

Anakin is not there and that she has had twins. Padme begins to talk, drifting in and out of consciousness. "Anakin,

orry. I'm so sorry... Anakin, please... I love you..." Yoda enters the room and Obi-Wan shakes his head in sorrow. Bhen Padme regains consciousness for one last time and puts something into Kenobi's hand. "Obi-Wan, there is still

good in him... I know... there... is... still... "As Padme Amidala Skywalker dies, Obi-Wan opens his hand and gazes

upon the jaipor snippet Anakin made for Padme when they first left Tatooine years before.

Chapter 20: Plans for Luke and Leia

Obi-Wan immediately begins the separation process of Luke and Leia Skywalker to protect them from the Emperor

Obi-Wan hopes that should the Emperor discover one of them, the other will remain safely hidden from the Sith.

However, when asked about training the infants, Yoda firmly states: "Jedi training, the sole source of self-discipline

not. When right is the time for skills to be taught, to us the living Force will bring them. Until then, wait we will, an

watch, and learn." Bail Organa offers to adopt Leia and the Jedi Masters agree. "What of the boy?" asks Bail. "Clieg

Lars still lives on Tatooine I think and Anakin's stepbrother... Owen that's it, and his wife Beru still work the moistu

arm outside Mos Eisley..." replied Obi-Wan. "As close to kinfolk as the boy can come." Yoda says approvingly. "B

Tatooine, not like Alderaan it is, deep in the Outer Rim, a wild and dangerous planet." Obi-Wan states that "Anakin

urvived it. Luke can, too..."

Chapter 21: Final Visions

Elsewhere, Anakin heals inside mechanical armor. Anakin regains consciousness, awakens in his black Darth Vader

rmor and is told that he is responsible for Padmes death. Anakin is so distraught that he destroys the room he is in

with the Force. Anakin is also upset at finding out that he has become more machine than man as a result of his duel

with Obi-Wan. In his anger, Anakin Force chokes many people and uses the Force to throw droids around the room

Luke is taken to the planet of Tatooine. After arriving on Tatooine, Obi-Wan requests that Owen and Beru Lars takeare of young Luke. Obi-Wan tells Owen and Beru that Anakin died fighting in the Clone Wars. Understandably,

Owen blames the Jedi for Anakins fate stating that the Jedi never should have taken Anakin from Tatooine in the fi

place.The last image of Obi-Wan is of him riding off into twin suns settling across the Jundtland Wastes on the bac

n Eeopie.

Leia is handed into the loving hands of the Queen of Aldeeran by the Prince Consort, Bail Organa. On the Tantive I

Senator Organa calls upon the captain of his starship, Captain Antilles. With the Senator is Threepio and Artoo. "I'm

placing these droids in your care," instructs Bail. "Have them cleaned, polished and refitted with the best of everythi

hey will belong to my new daughter." The captain ushers the two droids away. "How lovely!" exclaims Threepio to

Artoo, walking down the corridor. "His daughter is the child of Master Anakin and Senator Amidala. I can hardly w

o tell her all about her parents! I'm sure she will be very proud-" Suddenly, Bail turns and says, "Oh, and the protocdroid? Have its mind wiped." The captain salutes.

Oh," says C-3PO. "Oh, dear."

Sector Governor TARKIN, DARTH VADER, and EMPEROR PALPATINE stand on the bridge of a Star Destroye

n the distance, the growing skeleton of a spherical battle station, the size of a small moon, begins to take shape...

A Helpful Han:

Young Solo was requested by George Lucas for shooting in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. McCaig's costume des

was approved by Lucas on the spot. Unlike the Han Solo we know in the Original Trilogy, the Episode III Solo was

onceived as a 'slob' by McCaig. So what was Han Solo's role? In a conference room on Kashyyyk, Han Solo helped

Yoda track down Greivous. We were told in the script that Han was being raised by Chewbacca.

Unkindest Cut of All:

Part of the original final montage was of Yoda arriving on Dagobah. The Jedi Master was to have been seen going in

xile after the fall of the Jedi but Lucas has decided that the film with brief finales on Naboo aboard a Star Destroy
