Star ceremony are of two types, the set ceremonies and the planned ceremonies.

• 3. When all the clusters have finished their dance, everyone will repeat the skipping steps as in No.1.

THE STAR GRAND SALUTEAfter the Celestial Ceremony, your troop may want to give all new Stars the Grand Salute.

Your Grand Salute is for special occasions and for greeting special people to whom you want to say “thank you,” “congratulations,” “happy day,” Or “welcome.”

MOVING ON CEREMONY

MOVING ON This is the time of mixed emotions of ambivalence for the Star Troop leader. She wants the Stars to go yet at the same time, she not want to let them go. By the time the Stars reach their 9th birthday, they are ready to move on to the next program age level.

It is not graduation. It is a continuation of the same program adopted to the needs and interests of the next age level. It is also means that you should go through the “bridges” which will let you know about becoming a Junior Girl Scout.

HERE ARE THE BRIDGES:

Bridge One:• Ask North Star or

Morning Star to tell what a Junior Girl scout does in a Junior troop.

Bridge Two:• Ask Big Star to tell

you all about the Junior Girl Scout activities.

Bridge Three:• Plan a visit and see

what the Junior Girl Scouts do in their troop meetings, troop camping and other troop activities.

Bridge Four:• Ask “Tita” to invite a

Junior Troop to your troop’s birthday or troop meeting.

Bridge Five:• Do something

together with a Junior troop. Ask North Star to arrange for a day camp with the Junior Girl Scout.

• When you are ready to move, A Moving On Ceremony will be done. You will receive your MOVING ON PIN and you will be welcomed to the Junior Girl Scout troop where you will now belong.

• Use your Moving On Pin until you get a Junior Scout Pin.
