STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP)
FOR DAILY CONGREGATIONAL AND FRIDAY PRAYER
AT SULTAN HAJI AHMAD SHAH MOSQUE
DURING RECOVERY MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (RMCO)
FROM 17th JULY – 31st AUGUST 2020 DUE TO COVID-19
As such, these guidelines are applicable to all worshippers during the RMCO period.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. SHAS Mosque will only be opened for daily Zuhr, Asar prayer and Friday prayer
starting from 19th June 2020.
1.2. For daily congregational prayer the door of the mosque is opened an 15 minutes
before the azan and would be closed soon after the prayer.
1.3. Only main entrance facing Muhammad Abdul Rauf (MAR) building will be
opened for entrance/exit at every prayer time.
1.4. Only main prayer hall at level 2 will be used for congregational prayer.
1.5. All worshippers are encouraged to wear face mask, bring your own sajadah and to
apply social distancing. Physical space between worshippers (at least one or two
metres apart) shall be implemented.
1.6. Handshake is not encouraged, if possible to be avoided.
1.7. All worshippers are required to install MySejahtera and MyTrace applications into
their mobile devices.

1.8. All worshippers must adhere to the SOP on COVID19 to reduce the risks of
transmission of COVID19.
2. PROCEDURE OF ENTERING THE MOSQUE
2.1. All worshippers shall be screened and must undergo body temperature check at the
predefined entrance every time before entering the mosque. QR code and hand
sanitizer will be provided at the entrance area.
2.2. Those who are sick, showing symptoms of illness, or have chronic diseases or
temperature higher than 37.5 Celsius will not be allowed to enter the mosque.
2.3 All worshippers present must perform ablution at their place. Toilets and ablution
area will not be open to the public.
3. PROCEDURE INSIDE MOSQUE
3.1 Worshippers are only allowed to occupy the designated area.
3.2 Gathering inside and outside of the mosque after prayers is not allowed.
3.3 Worshippers are required to leave the mosque immediately after prayer session.
