Narrative: Artworks that tell stories, describe and illustrate experiences or
communicate information. Art to document important or historical events.

Artistic Expression:
Artwork to express or communicate emotions,
ideas or feelings. Used for self expression or to decorate or beautify.
So why do we make art?
• Expression: To express personal thoughts or ideas.
• Entertainment. Movies, TV shows, Comic Books, Cartoons, Video Games.
• Political and Social Commentary; to voice an opinion on something, like a political cartoon.
