A multi-disciplinary Israeli artist and designer, Arik Levy’s Stab Light for Danese Milano won the Red Dot design award in 2016. Based in Paris, Levy works as an artist, technician, sculptor, photographer, designer, and video artist. His multi-media work can be seen in museums and

galleries worldwide.

Stab Light’s diffuser is crafted out of hand-blown glass layered over a traditional wooden mold that was carefully formed by hand. The production process uses the extraordinary skills of glassmakers, who continue to pass down their knowledge from generation to generation.

TRANSPARENCY

A glass blowing pipe is used to gather several layers of glass in various colors, creating a particular color depth. The glass is then blown and formed by hand to create a shape that mirrors that of the wooden mold it is placed on top of. The diffuser is available in transparent hues of aqua, brown or green amber glass.

Stab Light is available in a single or triple suspension, in three color options and shapes. The arms of the triple suspension can be adjusted to different lengths, resulting in multi-positional hanging arrangements. This smart suspension system allows the distribution of light within the space in ever-changing ways.
