Who is St. William? He was born in the city of Vercelli in 1085. William was orphaned as an in-fant and raised by relatives. As a young boy of four-teen, he set out on a pilgrimage to Spain. He suffered many hardships, but kept on until he arrived. Little is known of him during this time that he spent in Spain. William later returned to Italy and began the life of a hermit. At this time he performed his first miracle of restoring sight to a blind man. He became famous, but he wanted to be left to pray. So he traveled to Monte Vergine and established a monastery in 1124. This monastery still stands today. St. William was known for establishing even more religious houses, converting sinners, and even advising the king. He died in 1142 on June 25. That is his feast day Don’t forget to circle October 11, 2015 on your calendars so that you come with your appetite to taste all the delicious food that will be offered at our International Octoberfest. Come and have fun! Our next 100th Anniversary Planning Meeting will be on Monday, September 21 at 6:30pm in Lie-brich Hall.

LABOR DAY Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It con-stitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. The idea of a “workingmen's holiday” spread with the growth of labor organizations, and in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many indus-trial centers of the country.

The Rectory and School will be closed Monday. The Rectory will resume normal full time hours.

Nasze spotkania biblijne rozpoczniemy w Parafii św. Williama, po wakacyjnej przerwie, w piątek, 11 września po Mszy Św., o godz. 7:30pm. Serdecznie zapraszamy!

SPOTKA IA BIBLIJ E w Parafii św.

Czy jednak my – wierzący katolicy dość je znamy? Williama.
