DearSVVSDParentsandGuardians:

Iwanttoexpressmysinceregratitudeforyourtremendoussupport,consideration

andunderstandingthroughoutthisextremelydifficultperiodoftimeforour

students,families,teachersandstaff.Yourthoughtfulandsupportivephonecalls

andmessageshavebeenenormouslyappreciated.

Ouradministrators,teachersandsupportstaffareworkinghardtoensureasmooth

andsafetransitionforstudentsreturningtoschool.OurOperationsand

MaintenanceDepartment,inparticular,hasbeenworkingtirelesslyunder

challengingconditionstoensurethateveryschoolisfullyinspected,cleanandpreparedtowelcomeyourstudentbacktoasafeandsupportivelearning

environment.WiththeexceptionofLyonsElementaryandLyonsMiddle/SeniorHigh,allSVVSD

schoolsarescheduledtoreopenthisThursday,September19thandfollowtheirnormalschedule.OurLyonsK-12studentsarescheduledtobeginastaggered

returntoschoolbeginningMonday,September23rd(highschool),Tuesday,

September24th(middleschool)andWednesday,September25th(elementary)at

theMainStreetSchool,820MainStreetinLongmont.

Oncestudentsareback,yourschoolprincipals,teachersandstaffwillbeworking

hardtoidentifystudentswhohavenotreturnedtoschool.Havingaccurate

attendancewillbeenormouslyhelpfultolawenforcementprofessionalsandotheremergencyresponderswhoareworkinghardtoaccountforeveryonethroughout

ourcommunities.

Additionally,becauseseveralroadsandaccesspointstoschoolsmaybeobstructed,

damagedandinsomecasesimpassable,theTransportationDepartmentismaking

necessaryadjustmentstosomebusroutestoassiststudentsinarrivingtoschoolin

atimelymanner.

Finally,thankyouagainforyourtremendoussupportduringthisdifficulttime.Ifeel

honoredtoservesuchanamazingcommunity.
