During Mass God speaks to us during the Liturgy of the Word. As a lector, you act as God’s spokesperson during this part of the liturgy. There is a training session for adult lectors on Wednesday, June 1st at 6:30 PM in the church.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTER TRAINING… A beautiful way to become more involved in the celebration of the Eucharist is to serve as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. To share the Eucharist with your fellow parishioners is a sacred experience. There is a training session for adults who would like to serve in this capacity. Eucharistic ministers must be at least 17-18 years of age, fully initiated in the Catholic Church (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), and if married, have had their marriage recognized by the Catholic Church. The training session for those who would like to serve in this ministry will be on Wednesday, June 8th at 6:30 PM in the church.
Please call the parish office (936.295.8159) if you are planning to attend.

St. Thomas the Apostle Youth
“Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.” (Lk 23:24).
That is what Jesus’ mercy ultimately means. The Lord freely suffers with us, that we might reign with him.
“Today you will be with me in Paradise.” (Lk 23:43).
The Lord makes the full burden of our sin his own, so that the full force of his merciful forgiveness might also be ours. Father Anthony Giambrone, O.P.

REFLECTION… The Most Holy Trinity Sunday: May 22 That we may allow the Holy Spirit to guide our daily actions and thoughts. “But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth...” John 16:13 Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the truth. To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to receive this gift before we can give it. Develop a daily prayer routine to ask the Holy Spirit to help guide our thoughts and actions
REFLEXION…
