Learning Logs

What will my child have to do in a Learning Log?

For each piece of work the children will be given a research topic or title, followed by a variety of suggested activities.

They can draw, cut, stick, make little booklets, charts or write their work down in anyway they like.

They can then share their logs with friends, family and teachers.

Parents/guardians please sign and date the learning log when it is completed.

What does a Learning Log look like?

Why Learning Log?

They are an opportunity for children to extend and consolidate learning in the classroon.

They encourage all children to be creative and independent.

They encourage children to be actively involved in their work and take pride in it.

Learning Logs encourage partnership between home and school.

As Learning Logs are personalised there is no right or wrong way to approach a task.

They give children ownership of their work.

Learning Log September 19th Please cover your learning log with, for

example, wallpaper or wrapping paper and put your name on it. Then put things on the front cover to make it your special book.

You could-draw a picture of you on the front.put a photograph of you on the front.decorate the cover with pictures of things that
