Annual Talents Competition 2012

Dear Parents,

The talent competition for Sunday school students will be held on

Saturday, 06 October 2012 at 2pm at All Saints Stoneycroft Parish

Church, Broad Green Rd, Liverpool, L13 5SH. Please remember to give

your child’s name on or before 16 September 2012. Detailed

programme list is as follows:

Elocution Topics

Junior – Importance of going to Church.

Intermediate – What Jesus has taught us about Love?

Notes:

1) Colouring: Time: 15 mins

Picture will be provided; colouring with pencils/crayons only (paints, felt-pens etc. will not be allowed); Participants should bring their

colouring materials.

2) Story Telling: Time: MAX 3 MINS (will be strictly enforced).

In English or Malayalam; Biblical story only; Prompting by parents

(action, guidance etc.) or written aids are not allowed.

Total 10 points (Introduction- 2, Style of Delivery- 2, Content- 4,

Conclusion & Moral- 2).

3) Solo Song: Time: MAX 3 MINS (will be strictly enforced).

Any Christian song in Malayalam or English is allowed; No musical

instruments are allowed; Prompting by parents (action, guidance

etc.) will result in disqualification.

Total 10 points (Rhythm- 3, Tune- 3, Clarity & Correctness of

words- 4).

4) Group Song: Time: MAX 3 MINS (will be strictly enforced).

Minimum 3 members in a team. Only Aradhanageethangal from

Holy Qurbana, Namaskaram, Kudasa or Perunnal geethangal are

allowed. No other songs are allowed. Group Leader should write the

name of his/her team members on the back of his/her enrolment

form. Cannot refer to songs in book or paper. No instruments will

be allowed. Prompting by parents (action, guidance etc.) will result

in disqualification.

Total 10 points (Rhythm- 3, Tune- 3, Clarity & Correctness of

words- 4).

5) Elocution: Time: MAX 5 MINS (will be strictly enforced).

In English or Malayalam; Topics are included in this notice;

Referring to notes or reading from written paper will result in

disqualification. Prompting by parents (action, guidance etc.) not

allowed.

Total 20 points (Introduction- 2, Depth of Subject Knowledge- 8,

Biblical references- 4, Presentation & Language- 4, conclusion- 2).

Presentation & Language consists of statements, action, accent etc.

6) Verses - Writing: Time: 30 mins.

Verses from the Holy Bible only. REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED;

Special answer papers will be provided from Sunday school. Writing

on any other paper will disqualify. Illegible handwriting by children

to gain speed will not be accepted! Verses cannot be modified,

condensed and should match exactly to the verses provided in the

Bible. Verses must be numbered and sufficient space must be left

between verses.
