When you order wine in a restaurant, you usually have very little information regarding the names listed on the menu. Making a wine selection can be intimidating. Don’t panic, ask your server or sommelier for a suggestion on pairing your entree with the perfect wine.

Farmer’s MarketsRoaming through a farmers’ market is a great way to experience local cui-

sine and culture. Island farmers share organic food fresh from the earth as well as local dishes, baked goods, arts and crafts and maybe even a

recipe or two. You can find a farmers’ market every weekend at one location or another, and some farms have their own produce market open daily.

Market Square in downtown Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas has fresh pro-duce and local plants available every Saturday. Bordeaux Farmers’ Market, the largest on the island, is held on the second and last Sunday of the month, and Yacht Haven Grande holds a farmers’ market on the first and third Sundays of the month. Early Saturday morning is the best time to get your fresh fish, at Gustave Quetel Fish Market in Frenchtown or the Joseph P. Bryan Fish Market outside Lionel Roberts Stadium. CRUZAN RUMTHE DON’T HURRY RUM

The tropical isle of St. Croix was discovered in 1493, by Christopher Colum-bus. For all its beauty, he named the island “Santa Cruz” meaning Holy Cross. Years later, under the French flag , Santa Cruz was renamed St. Croix. Cruzan Rum comes from St. Croix and the name Cruzan comes from the name of the local people of the island known as Crucians. Since the early 1800’s, the Nelthropp family has lived on and been an integral part of this legendary island’s rich history. It is here that the family produces Cruzan Rum, thereby upholding the centuries old tradition of quality Virgin Islands’ rum. Using only the purest, natural ingredients and processes, the Cruzan Rum Distillery has vastly improved on the rums of yesteryear.

Cruzan Rum consistently achieves the light, distinctive taste which has made it one of the fastest growing, premium rums in the world. Cruzan’s line of rums has grown to include Cruzan Aged Dark, Aged Light, Aged 151 Proof and Black Strap, as well as 14 flavors, including the newest member of the flavor lineup, the very popular, Blueberry Lemonade. Cruzan has also reintroduced its Estate Diamond Rums in Aged Light & Aged Dark. For rum connoisseurs, Cruzan Single Barrel is the world’s first single barrel rum and winner of a Double Gold Medal at the prestigious San Francisco Spirits Competition.

Rounding out the portfolio is Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum, made with a unique blend of nine spices and Cruzan Velvet Cinn, which takes the naturally sweet flavor of rich dairy cream a step further by adding a robust and lingering taste of bakery cinnamon. Cruzan reminds you to take your time with this one-of-a-kind rum and appreciate its smoothness and quality. We promise it’s worth the Don’t Hurry.

Cruzan Rum. The Don’t Hurry RumSo be sure to ask your bartender for a Cruzan Rum Drink, because in the

Virgin Islands when we say “Rum” we mean Cruzan Rum!
