A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAT Dear St. Pius X Community,
Confirma on was amazing. Bishop Mike did a great job with our youth and challenged all of us to live be er lives in line with the Gospel and to truly be that presence of God to all peoples. His call was to take our faith and religion seriously.
The MyParish App launch seems to be off to a good start. We are almost at 275. That might seem good, but with about 800 families that par cipate and each family having at least two phones, I am thinking we should be much closer to 1000. You can text 88202 with app in the message and a link will be sent. You can scan QR code later in bulle n. You can go to the App Store or Google Play and download the app from there. If you come into the office for help, please bring your passwords so that we can help you! We s ll have work to do, but people seem happy and things seem to be going well. It will take some me to get all the group requests processed, so please be pa ent. Thanks for helping with this effort to draw us closer together.
Things are happening! That is maybe an understate-ment. I think I am se ng a record for number of gradua on events that I have been to with more to come. As school year programs come to a close, summer ones start. Summer Fun registra on is s ll open. They s ll have lots of room. $165 a week seems almost too good to be true. It is a great deal open to ALL! So spread the word and tell your friends and neighbors about this great program. Direct all ques ons to Coach Stacie! Stephanie is ge ng more summer stuff going. We have Steubenville Lonestar coming up in a few short weeks. Even I can’t wait for that one. We will be having breakfast a er the Friday morning Masses with all teens that want to come to Mass. Movies will con nue through the summer (may even be a Greatest Showman sing along.)
We have a parish school. It is all ours and we support it 100% as one of our ministries and services to the community. That said, we have room for about 100 more students. Our Iowa results showed our students at least a grade level ahead and the 8th grade tested at a 12th grade level. Take the

The Franciscans came here 300 years ago to bring the faith to the na ve people. They were fulfilling the mandate to “go therefore and make disciples of all na ons.” This is the first feature length drama c film on the life of St. Anthony of Padua, one of the most popular saints in Chris an history, and one who is even revered by Muslim and Hindu communi es. It is in Italian with English sub tles and is 95 minutes in length. The film is not rated but recommended for teens to adults. The showing is being hosted by the WSPX Spirituality Commi ee. Desserts, coffee and water will be served.

Who are our St. Pius X Stephen Ministers? They are parishioners who have completed 50 hours of training to provide high-quality Chris an care to individuals who are experiencing a crisis or challenge
such as divorce, grief, loss of job, hospitaliza on, loneliness, or reloca on. Stephen Ministers are each assigned a care receiver and meet with that care receiver for about an hour a week for as long as the care receiver needs support.
