~FLOOD INSURANCE PETITION - Flood insurance rates are expected to increase across the county. Florida, especially barrier island residents and business owners, will be more susceptible to the increases due to low elevation and surrounding wa-ter. Rates will continue to rise until they reach a point considered actuarially appro-priate for the risk of floods. Efforts are currently underway to delay the implemen-tation of rate increases. Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce asks that you sign this petition to STOP this Flood insurance crisis. After each signature the US

~NEW PAINTING CLASS AT THE ST. PETE BEACH COMMUNITY CENTER - Register now for our new class, Decorative Artist- One Stroke Painting Class. Everyone is an artist and the best way to start is with one stroke painting techniques. You will learn to create something magical on canvas in 2 short weeks. Class sessions will be Oct 1-8 and Nov 5-12. During each session class will meet every Tuesday from 6p-8p. CONCERTS IN THE PARK SERIES RETURNS TO ST. PETE BEACH HORAN PARK - The City of St. Pete Beach announces the return of their Concert in the Park Series, happening every Friday night in October. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax outdoors un-der the stars in our beautiful waterfront Horan Park, located at the St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive. Activities start at 6pm and the band will take the stage at 7pm. This event is free and open to the public. Complementary valet parking is available.
