Worry Management for Parents webinar
Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies is running a ‘Worry Management for
Parents’ webinar session on Wednesday 28th April at 11am.
This webinar will aim to increase parents understanding of anxiety and
worry, as well as identify the key worries parents may have from a
their perspective but also more generally. The webinar will look at a
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) technique called Worry
Management which will allow you to regain control of your worries
and reduce the impact worries may have on your day to day life.
This webinar is open to parents who live in Tower Hamlets or
have a GP in the borough only. Sign up using the following link.
You will be emailed the link to join the session a day prior to the
session.

Moments of crisis, reflection and relaxation Too many notifications? Feel like there's never enough time to gather
your thoughts? It's time to hit pause. Here is a short meditation you
can try anytime, to help you find a moment for reflection in your day. If
you also feel overwhelmed sometimes you can try playing the moment
of crisis meditation to help you through, or perhaps if you just need a
little chill try a moment of relaxation. Find a little space to care for
your mind, wherever you are, and whenever you like.

During the month of Ramadan we are going to share recipes from around the world with you which are
popular Iftar choices.
This week’s recipe is from Algeria and it is called Kefta.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced, divided
¼ cup finely chopped onion, divided
salt and pepper to taste
3 (plum) tomatoes, diced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon ras el hanout (Optional)
½ cup water
Preparation
Combine the ground beef with half of the minced garlic and
a tablespoon of chopped onion. Mix with your hands until
fully incorporated. Shape the meat mixture into 1 1/2-inch
oblong patties; you should have 12 to 14 meatballs.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties in
batches until they are crispy on both sides and are no longer
pink in the centre for about 10 minutes. Set the meatballs
aside in a rimmed serving dish and repeat with the remaining
patties.
Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the remaining
chopped onion. Add salt and pepper. Cook the onions in the
drippings, stirring constantly, until the onion has softened
and turned translucent for about 5 minutes.
Stir in the remaining half of the garlic and cook for 30
seconds.
Stir in the tomatoes, dried parsley, ras el hanout, and water.
Cook until the tomatoes are soft, about 5 minutes.
Pour the tomato sauce over the meatballs and serve.
Enjoy.
