Worship Parish News A Parishioner in Need

Joe and Isabel Leighton are parishioners. They live in Bloomington with their two youngest kids, Christian and Nicole, who attended high school here and were attending IU until their father’s illness made it finan-cially unfeasible. Joe is a physical therapist and has pulmonary fibro-sis—a terminal disease. The GOOD news is that Joe is at the top of the list for a double lung transplant. The BAD news is, to have the surgery, they must pro-duce up front $8,000 for the immuno-suppressant medications Joe will need to take after the transplant. Joe and his family are in desperate need of your help! Please pray for Joe and his family, and please, if you can, donate some money to help Joe reach the critical $8,000 threshold. Checks can be sent to St. Paul, payable to St. Paul, with “Joe Leighton” on the memo line, or you can contribute through the IU Credit Union (information below). Thank you!

Congratulations

To the boys and girls receiving

their First Communion and the

young men & women receiving

the Sacrament of Confirmation

this weekend!!

For nothing will be impossible with God

~Luke 1:37

O God, You are our eternal shepherd and guide.

In your mercy, Grant to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis A shepherd who will walk in your ways

And whose watchful care Will bring us your blessing.

In your love for us, Give us the joy of receiving an archbishop

Who will be an example of goodness To your people

And who will fill our hearts and minds With the truth of the Gospel.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, Who lives and reigns with you In the unity of the Holy Spirit One God, forever and ever.

Amen

Weedy and Seedy? Yes Indeedy. But Don’t Be Blue,

There’s Something You Can DO!

If you take a good look at our grounds as you leave Mass today you will see drifts of dandelions, dry daffodils, crushed chrysan-themums and well, you get the picture. Our grounds are weedy, seedy, and NEEDY!

Please help Fr. John reclaim our flowerbeds and re-turn them to their former glory!

Saturday, May 6 will be a day to tidy up our flower-beds, and the following Saturday, May 13, will be a chance to tuck some new little flowers into their new beds!! Both gardening days will begin at 10am. Please bring your own gardening tools and stay as long as you can.

Water, coffee, and treats will be provided to keep your tummy happy and your en-ergy level humming as we transform our grounds for frightful to delightful!

Missed Picture Day?

Want Your Photo
