This is first time a massive fireworks display has taken place on the river banks and we are expecting huge crowds to join us for this unique event at this beautiful location in the heart of the Town. Welcome to Bray’s 8th annual St.Patrick’s festival which will run from Wednesday 14th to Monday 19th March. Yet again Bray’s festival will be bursting at the seams with activities and entertainment for all the family. Our most popular events which include Bird’s Euroshow Funfair, The Boathouse Céilí Breakfast and the Giant Led screen will return as usual this year along with a brand new and exciting event, Bray will host a fantastic FIREWORKS DISPLAY on Sunday 18th of March across the Dargle River with plenty of activities on the day to keep all ages entertained such as face painting, céilí music and much much more.

All events are FREE and for this we would like to thank our very generous sponsors, volunteers, participants and the emergency services.

Birds euroshoW FunFairBray seafront l 14th march – 20th march Bird’s Euroshow Funfair will once again bring all your favourite rides to the Seafront, from Twist Off and Wild Mouse to the calmer Carousel and Bounce World for the younger kiddies to enjoy. Half price on all rides on patrons day Wednesday 14th of March. Also great discounts available 2 large rides for €5 and 10 small rides for €15 which is amazing value not to be missed!!!!!!!!!

the Boathouse Céilí BreakFastsouth Beach Car Park l monday 19th march at 11amChildren of all ages are invited to The Boathouse Coffee Dock on the promenade for a crash course in Irish dancing. Once they have exhausted themselves out with all the dancing a small breakfast roll and a juice is provided compliments of The Boathouse.

taBle Quizthe esplanade hotel l thursday 15th march 8.30pmThe quiz is in aid of Michael’s Hope for Independence. Michael is an 11 year old boy who has Cerebral Palsy who has been in a wheelchair since he was 3 years old. Michael has been accepted for a life changing operation in the USA to help him to walk. The trip cost €60,000; Michael needs help to raise money for his trip so come along to the table quiz to help support Michael’s hope for Independence. A table of 4 is €40.

Festival Parade & mermaid street sPeCtaCular starts town hall l st. Patrick’s day 3pmBray is host to one of the largest parades on the east coast with over 1500 participants and up to 70 different groups. All groups will be at the ready to perform for all to see whether it is dancing, singing and marching all the way to the viewing stand (outside Jackie O’Driscoll’s). The one to watch out for is this year’s pageant ‘BRILLIANT’ the amazing display from Artastic and The Mermaid Arts Centre, which will dazzle and amaze you with bright and zany colours. The parade host FM 104’s Adrian Kennedy.

Festival Grand marshalThis year’s Grand Marshal is Emma Hannigan, winner of the Person of the Year award at the Bray Chamber Endeavour Awards. Emma has written several inspiring books. Her first three books are best sellers in Ireland, Designer Genes, Miss Conceived and Talk to the Head Scarf. Her most recent book is Pink Ladies Club. Emma is also hard at work championing awareness of cancer treatment and she also signed up to be an Ambassador for Bray.
