1 14 June 2018 Dear Parents and Guardians, Thank you to the many parents who attended the General Information Evening on Tuesday evening. Besides the fact that I endeavor to be completely transparent at these meetings, it also provides parents with an opportunity to ask me questions about anything that may be bothering them at school. If you were unable to attend the meeting on Tuesday, please try to attend the meeting next term. There are no forbidden topics. We really try to make it as informative and brief as possible The High School will return to their normal times from Friday, 15 June (07h25 until 14h00). The Primary School will dismiss at 13h00 until Thursday, 21 June. School reopens on Tuesday, 17 July for Term 3. Please note that Term 3 extra murals will commence on Wednesday, 18 July, and not in week 2. A very big thank you to the parents who have contributed towards the R30,000 raised to paint the Primary School passages. We hope to start with this project during the July school holiday. Remember, the school is a Section 18A-approved entity, so we will gladly supply you with a Section 18A Certificate to qualify for a tax deductible donation, should you still wish to contribute. If you are looking for any of your child’s belongings (blazers, jerseys, lunchboxes, textbooks, etc.) which may be lost, please enquire at our Clothing Shop. We literally have hundreds of unclaimed items. The second School of the Arts quarterly concert will be held on Wednesday, 20 June 2018 at 18h00 in the McManus Hall. If your child is performing, you will soon receive a letter with all the relevant information. All parents are welcome to attend. Entrance is free. Reports will not be released at the end of the term if you have any school fees outstanding and your child/ren will not be able to return on the 1st day of next term should the fees remain outstanding. Kindly ensure that your school fee account is up to date to avoid any delays at the end of the school term. Thank you to Michelle Morgan, Samantha Seaward, Morgan Triegaardt and Wendy Welham who kindly donated toys and puzzles to the ECD Centre. It is much appreciated.
