EUCHARISTIC ADORATION…. WHY SHOULD I BE AN ADORER

There are many reasons! Most importantly is to visit and spend time with Our Lord Jesus Christ who is ever present in the Holy Eucharist (also called the Blessed Sacrament). Like any relationship, what we put in is what we will get back and our Lord is not outdone in generosity! As a committed adorer you also have the

amazing responsibility to keep the Lord not only company but also safe in the Adoration Chapel Coming

to adoration is a perfect way to draw ever closer to Jesus and to intensify our spiritual life.

SJA SENIOR MINISTRY…

Our holiday lunch is scheduled for Wednesday, December 15. We will be starting at 11:00A instead of 11:30 with a presentation by our preschool children. After lunch we will have another presentation from Fr. Cruz. Lunch is lasagna, salad, dessert and beverage. $4.00 pp A few years ago, we started the tradition of having a free-will donation to benefit our young people at SJA rather than having a gift exchange. This year our collection will benefit our SJA Youth with their expenses in February for their annual religious retreat. As in past years, this collection is in memory of Sam Vidulich. If you wish to participate and are unable to attend the luncheon, please send your donation to Barb Matthews at St. Joan of Arc. Thank you,

If you are a new senior parishioner and wish to join the group, please contact Barbara Matthews at 602-867-9171x312.

corazones! Para más información, llame a

BECOMING CHRISTIAN Initiation for Adults—What is it?

For Christians, initiation means falling in love with Jesus and living as His disciples. Through the process of becoming Catholic we try to help

people learn how to respond to God’s call for their everyday lives.

The way we learn to do this is by hanging out

with Catholics and actually doing what Catholics do. The process of becoming Catholic

is about entering into a way of life as an apprentice learns from a Master and that

Master’s community.

Jesus is our Master and becoming Catholic is a lot like being His apprentices. The process for

this apprenticeship into the Christian way of life is called the Rite of Christian Initiation for

Adults (often called RCIA). It involves encountering the Word of God in the Christian

community, worship and prayer and serving others.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic and

responding to God, call or contact Brian Hanson at
