“My God will supply whatever you need...” — Philippians 4:19
God really does provide for those who are grateful and generous. This is very difficult for people that don’t live a stewardship lifestyle to believe. People are skeptical and say it’s just coincidence. If you are skeptical, try living a stewardship lifestyle for just one month — be generous with your gifts of time in prayer, talent in charitable works and treasure and see how God provides for your needs.

St. Michael’s Drive Thru BBQ Fundraiser
Page 4 October 11, 2020 Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
This year we will not be able to have a Bazaar as we usually do due to the COVID-19 restrictions so the decision has been made to have a Drive-thru BBQ Meal on Sunday, October 25th. On the menu will be BBQ beef, sausage, buttered potatoes, green beans and dessert (no drink) for $10 per plate. Eggrolls will be sold that day too. We will be needing pre-packaged desserts for the meal plates. Goodies such as cookies, brownies, rice krispy treats, etc. Things that can be put in a Ziploc plastic bag without making a mess. Please package them before bringing them.
Watch the bulletin for further details.
Changes to Prayer Chain Requests All requests to have names added to the Prayer Chain should be made by calling the St. Michael’s Parish Office (979) 793-4477. The Office will then relay the message to the Prayer Chain Lead-er, Carolyn Stariha.
Inspired by Our Lady of Medjugorje The Patriotic Rosary
is a powerful prayer for divine protection and mercy for our Nation and its rebirth.
Our Lady accepted this consecration on
July 3, 2008 during the Apparition of Visionary Maria Lunetti.
With Fr. Marty Pham’s approval we will pray this Rosary on the first Tuesday of every month after the
5:30 p.m. Mass. For more information, contact Jo Ann Billman at
832-309-7813

GOOD OF THE ORDER Please keep these fine people in your prayers:
Harvey & Martha Marx, Bub Krejci, Trey Krejci, If you know of someone that should be on our Prayer List, please let me know. As Brian Graeber would say, “Love you Guys”.
Hello my brother Knights, This is a very important newsle er. We have a busy month ahead. I want to talk to you about the upcoming Fish Fry. We will need extra help this month. Football and Volleyball games will be in West Columbia this Friday. All of our servers are not going to be here, so we need at least 6 to 8 more people to make up the loss. This is our only means of raising money at this me. Please come out to help (see Wayne, or Tooty) and they will put you to work. Please be there at 4:30 p.m. We start serving at 5 p.m. Congrats to Mr. Richard Graeber for being elected Knight of the Month. Thank you Richard for your help. Also Glen and Linda Sweeny were elected Family of the Quarter. Great job! Thank you Glen and Linda for your hard work. I am star ng a new program for our council. It is called Shield a Badge with Prayer. We have 8 officers in Needville. I will assign one Knight to each officer. I need 8 Knights to get this going. Please see your Grand Knight or call him at 832-471-0751 for further details. We need to start thinking about our Lady’s Night and our Christmas Party. We will discuss this at our regular mee ng. The City Wide Garage Sale went well for our Council. Thanks Chad for running point on this event. Great job! Our ARC Dance has been canceled due to the on-going virus. This is from the ARC Council, Nancy Dolbert and Gary Kaluza. Last but not least, Mr. Dus n Vacek is doing some degree work at our hall before the mee ng. I think he said it starts at 6 p.m. Great work from our Member-ship Director. He will be assisted by Rich Lesak, our Insurance Director. Check out the front of the hall. The two Scouts doing their Eagle Scout projects at the hall have done a great job. Come take a look at the paint job on the front of the hall and also no ce the ballards are all upright and just about ready for pain ng. More info to come later. As always our Officers Mee ng is on the 1st Thursday of every month. Our Regular Mee ng is on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Both will be star ng at 7 p.m. Thanks to all and God Bless.
Wayne Marsalia, Grand Knight
