*** A Note from the Pastor ***

My dear brothers and sisters,

Have you ever been right about something...for the wrong reasons? Maybe you met someone at a party and just knew he was a good guy...and only later found out that he was a military veteran or even the president of a big company.

Sometimes we just know that someone is special, even if we do not know why. Today is Palm Sunday and we represent the crowd who welcomes Jesus to Jerusalem. They all know that Jesus is special and many even believe that He is royalty, but who would have guessed that Jesus was God Himself?

Many of these people will turn on Jesus in the coming days and others will hide, but the beautiful thing about today is that they are RIGHT. Today, we can wholeheartedly welcome Jesus as King of our lives and hearts! As someone who will change our lives for the better!

Sunday Reading Insights

“Only when someone values love more highly than life, that is, only where someone is ready to put life second to love, for the sake of love, can love be stronger than death. If it is to be more than death it must first be more than mere life. Jesus’ total love for men, which leads Him to the cross, is perfected in total stepping-over to the Father and therein becomes stronger than death, because in this it is at the same time total ’being held’ by Him. “ (Pope Benedict XVI) (Taken from Holy Week-Magnificat ®-small print edition, Pgs. 26-27)
