Monday 16th June Whats on during... HERE ALL WEEK!? What isHERE ALL WEEK!? We are excited to be launching our HERE ALL WEEK! Project in the St Mellons this month. It kicks off on June 14 th and will run until 20th June. The HERE ALL WEEK! Project sees us visiting a different community venue every month for one week as part of our ongoing commitment to involving YOU in what we do. Tuesday 17th June Who are ECLP Communities First? We are East Cardiff, Llanedeyrn and Pentwyn Communities First (ECLP). As a project of Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC), we deliver the Communities First programme across the six communities of Llanedeyrn, Llanrumney, Pentwyn, St. Mellons and Trowbridge. We deliver projects which aim to improve the quality of life of the community and help the community tackle the issues that concern them. Here All Week! aims to find out what these issues are so YOUR ideas shape our projects. All sessions take place @ St. Mellons Beacon Centre, Harrison Drive Complimentary Therapies Training Taster - 10.30am - 12pm &12.30pm- 2pm These sessions are free for anyone to attend and find out more about the art of Complementary Therapy. A free lunch is provided for attendees between 12pm & 12.30pm. Ceramics Taster Session - 10.30am - 12pm & 12.30pm- 2pm Pop into a session and find out if ceramics is for you! You will get the chance to try out some basic techniques for making artworks and you can take what you make away with you. A free lunch is provided for attendees between 12pm & 12.30pm. Health MOTs - 12.30pm - 2pm The Health checks include; blood pressure, peak flow test and BMI. Advice on nutrition and diet with also be available. Universal Job Match Support 10am - 4pm Expert staff will be available all day to help you apply for jobs on the Universal Job Match system. Come along to give yourself the best chance of getting that job! This session will be particularly useful for those stilling getting to grips with the system. Dr Bike! Give your Bike a check up! 3:30pm - 5:30pm Dr. Bike comes to St. Mellons armed with spanners and other sneaky tools to help you fix any minor issues and teach you basic bike maintenance, keeping you and your bike off the road. Adults and children welcome. All sessions take place @ St. Mellons Beacon Centre, Harrison Drive What Next?Drop In Session - 10am-1pm Are you thinking about getting into education? Are you thinking about what qualifications you could get? Do you know what training and support is on offer? Come in for a friendly chat over a free tea or coffee and get some of your questions answered. Pathways to Degree Event @ Cardiff University 5:30pm We can offer you free transport to Cardiff Universitys Pathways to Degree event, where you can find out about non-traditional ways to access university and what support is available to help you. The campaign offers adults the chance to have a go at learning something new by trying out one of the hundreds of free taster sessions that happen across Wales during the week, and an opportunity for learning providers to showcase their provision. We have teamed up with Niace and local learning providers to put on learning opportunities in St. Mellons. The Cardiff Learning Festival has something

for everyone! Free taster & skills sessions in

sport, music, history, first aid, manual handling,

bricklaying, storytelling, IT, carpentry and much

more! All of this will take place in the amazing

setting of St Fagan's National History Museum.

No booking required – Everyone’s welcome!

Free transport is available for workless

Green. 'Add to your life' is a free NHS Wales health check to help you live longer,

feel better, and stay healthy and active into the future. It can help you discover

more about your health, learn the simple steps you can take to stay fit, and discover

local services to help you make a positive change in your life.

Tenovus Sunscream Van - 12pm - 2pm

St Mellons Car Park

Tenovus’ Suncream Van, visits a variety of

outdoor venues and events, to offer advice about

how to enjoy the sun safely and to give out free

suncream. So if your passing, stop by to get great

advice and freebies to keep you and yours

summer safe.

Join us at Meadowlane’s Summer Fare! 2pm - 4:30pm

We will be helping out at Meadowlane Primary School’s Summer Fare. We will be

running fun vegetable and flower planting activities and family learning sessions

alongside a range of other stalls and activities that will be there on the day. A great

chance to spend a fun afternoon out with the children.
