Dear Teens and Families of St. Matthew's, I hope your summer is going well, and that you are getting some much-needed rest and leisure. I am writing this message to let you know about an exciting opportunity that is coming this Fall. On Saturday, September 14, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA will be hosting ON FIRE: Nor Cal Jam 2019, an all-day event sponsored by the Catholic Dioceses of Northern California. The day begins with early entrance to the park for a morning program and Mass, and includes a full day at the park with exclusive ride access from 7pm to 9pm. There will also be speakers throughout the day, an evening concert, and an all you can eat lunch and dinner buffet. This event will allow our teens to learn about Christ and His Church, to enjoy various attractions at the park, and to also reconnect with old classmates and meet other teens from the parish. The cost for each teen to attend will be $30. This is open to all high school aged teens of St. Matthew's Parish, both the alumni of our school and the teens of our parish who attend other schools. Espero que su verano esté yendo bien, que estén descansando y pasando un tiempo libre pues es muy necesario. Estoy escribiendo este mensaje para informarles sobre una oportunidad emocionante que se presentará este otoño. El sábado 14 de septiembre, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom en Vallejo, California, será anfitrión de ON FIRE: Nor Cal Jam 2019, un evento de todo el día patrocinado por las diócesis católicas del norte de California. Nocturnal Adoration Eucharistic Adoration is an expression of our love for Jesus, who loves us so much that He never wants to leave us and so stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament. For He says:
"Behold I am with you always," because "I have loved you with an everlasting love.
And constant is my affection for you," (Mt 28:20; Jer 31:3).
Please look into your hearts and try to make some time to come to adore Jesus in the Eucharist.
