They invite Christmas lovers to participate in an afternoon of Holiday fellowship and festive fun. There will be a Christmas exhibit, Penny Auction, Children’s Crafts and seasonal treats. Admission is free. ● The village of Millbank will host Christmas in the Village on Dec. 5 from 6 pm to 10 pm on Main St. in Millbank. This old-fashioned, small-town Christmas event has activities for the entire family. Listen to Christmas Carollers or join them in a carol sing-a-long at the Live Nativity. Climb on the horse-drawn wagon with sleigh bells ringing to travel around the village. ● The North Perth Players will bring Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol to the stage in Listowell this season. The show runs Dec. 5 to 7. Doors open at 7 pm at Listowell Central Public School. ● Several Santa Claus parades take place in the area this weekend including in Mitchell tonight at 7 pm, Monkton tomorrow at 6:30 pm and in Neustadt Sunday at 2 pm. ● In their first weekends at the box office, Penguins of Madagascar and Horrible Bosses 2 could not unseat last week’s leader The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. The Hunger Games sequel earned over $56.9 million in its second week bringing its total gross to over $225.6 million. ● Director Sam Mendes unveiled the title of the 24th James Bond film Thursday. It will be called Spectre, and star Christoph Waltz as the film’s villain, and Monica Bellucci and Lea Seydoux as the two new Bond Girls. St. Marys Rentals is also a center for U-Haul rental trucks. Most items are available by the day, week, and month. Lawn and garden imple- ments by Echo, Shindai- wa and - soon - Stihl are for sale in store, as well as machine parts, Braby said.
