VISION STATEMENT
As a parish under the patronage of Mary, Our Lady, we are
called like her, to draw others to Christ. In the midst of this
community of Marysville, we recognize the call from Al-
mighty God to be the light that draws others to believe in
God. We must make Christ present by the way we live and the
way we love each other. Forgiving always; being Christ to
others ALWAYS!
- -
SIEMPRE!

Dear Friends,
Today, Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord marks the beginning of Holy Week. Mass begins with the blessing of
palm branches and hearing again the Gospel of Jesus' Messianic entrance into Jerusalem. Our regular Gospel is St.
Luke's extended account of our Lord's Passion.
Later this week we continue our Holy Week observance culminating in the Triduum: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and
Holy Saturday. Our normal Mass schedule at St. Mary will be superceded by the solemn liturgies of:
Holy Thursday of the Lord's Supper: 7:00 p.m. (bilingual)
Friday of the Passion of the Lord 3:00 p.m. (English) and 7:00 p.m. (bilingual)
Saturday The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night 8:30 p.m. (bilingual)
There will be no regularly scheduled daily Masses or Saturday Confessions on these days.
Our Easter celebration then continues next Sunday with all three Masses. Please plan on joining us for these celebrations
of our Lord's Resurrection as we kick-off the seven weeks of the Easter season. I hope you'll also join us for the wonder-
ful Easter brunch after the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 Masses. This is a fundraiser for St. Mary and a great opportunity to enjoy
delicious food and lots of good company. Space is limited so please purchase your tickets early. Tickets are available
after all Masses today.
Blessed Holy Week,
Fr. Tom

Queridos amigos,
to y Sábado Santo.

commit to two Monday mornings a month for 2-
3 hours each day. Please contact Rudy dela Cruz
if you are interested in helping with this impor-
tant ministry.

Message from your St. Vincent de Paul conference
dolor y sufrimiento.
- Today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of the holiest
of Christian weeks. Let us pray for the grace to take up
our own cross and to follow Jesus through death to new
life. As you place your gift in the Society of St. Vin-
cent de Paul Poor Box, know that you are a sign of
God’s love to those who carry their cross of suffering
and pain.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

Come worship God and hear from uplifting and inspiring speakers! Cost is $40. See Mi-chael or the front office to register!
Please consider supporting the youth trip to World Youth Day!
The Youth Mass is currently on hiatus as we consider best how to serve the youth of our parish.
Religious Education
Faith is not a product of our thought or our reflection; it is something new that we cannot invent but only receive
as a gift, as a new thing produced by God. Moreover, faith does not come from reading but from listening. It is
not only something interior but also a relationship with Someone. It implies an encounter with the proclamation; it
implies the existence of the Other, who it proclaims, and creates communion.—Pope Benedict XVI
We are moving to a year-round RCIA program– helping people to become Catholic. To make this work, we need
parishioners willing to serve as sponsors– people to journey with them, pray with/for them, and help them in living
life as a Catholic.
If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Michael Schmitz or the main office.
Adult Education
SYMBOLON, our adult faith formation program has concluded its 20-session series. The next series of 10 ses-
sions will begin again after Easter. While Thursday nights will continue at 7pm, I would like to see if there would
be other helpful daytime slots to have sessions. Possibilities would be Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays– be-
fore or after Mass. Please contact Michael Schmitz at [email protected] if there is a time you would
like to see it offered!
Reminder that there is no High School Youth Group on Easter Sunday and no
Middle School Youth Group on Easter Monday.
