sources; and I trust that, by God’s grace and
in God’s time, these small gifts of myself
may grow and flourish and help to bring
about the kingdom of God (Our Sunday Visitor,

This year’s Holiday Fair is scheduled for Nov. 3rd and 4th – Please note that there will be two changes in the fair this year. – First, there will be no White Elephant table. In its place will be a “Reading corner” selling gently used books; kids, young adults, adults. We will be collecting those from now until the fair. Second, the Theme Bas-ket table is being eliminated and we will be hav-ing a Lottery Ticket raffle instead. Anyone wish-ing to donate a ticket can either bring it to the Rectory or place it in the collection basket at Mass. Anyone interested in getting involved with the fair, please feel free to contact Rhea at 508-995-6347.
All the names of fathers living and deceased, submitted by their loved ones, are being remembered at all Masses
this weekend and throughout the month of June.
Eucharistic Minister & Lector schedule
for July, August & September is available in
the priest’s sacristy, on our parish website &
the parish APP.
HVAC UPDATE New controls have been installed and are func-
tioning well! The current AC unit is 30 years
old and has substantial leaks and is not cost
effective to repair. A new unit has been or-
dered and we hope to install by July. Until
then, we are operating on only one compressor.
The cost of this project is $90,000. We will be
able to fund this expense without a capital
campaign because of the stewardship of Msgr.
Oliveira, who was able to save some money
since the parish debt was retired and therefore
we can draw on that income.
Rev. Fr. Rodrigo Miranda, IVE, missionary

works of mercy and humanitarian service during

GUIDELINES FOR HOW TO RECEIVE
HOLY COMMUNION
Paul VI reduced the fasting requirement after the Sec-ond Vatican Council, requiring only a one hour fast from all food and drink (excluding water). This may be reduced to 15 minutes for those who are sick or for other important reasons. This is the practice currently in force.
We should prepare ourselves for Holy Communion by acknowledging that we are about to receive the Sac-ramental Lord. We should be neat with clean hands and modest in our appearance, and respectful and reverent in our manner. A head bow is appropriate and please respond with: Amen.
Each time we receive Holy Communion we should try to be as devout and reverent as if it were the only Communion of our lives.
After Holy Communion we should spend some time thanking the Lord, renewing our promises of love and of obedience to Him, and asking Him for blessings for ourselves and others.

Guide them to be good role Models and loving to all
their children. Help them to be a father
like You are. Give them grace and pa-
tience to handle situations in a loving way.
Amen!
Next week, we will take up the Collection for the
Church in Latin America. For many in Latin
America and Caribbean, rural terrain and a lack of
ministers are obstacles to practicing their faith.
Your support to the collection provides lay leader-
ship training, catechesis, priestly and religious for-
mation, as well as other programs to help share
our faith with those who long to hear the Good
News of Christ. To learn more, please visit
www.usccb.org/latin-america.
Flowers wanted: Anyone who has flowers
in their garden they would like to share
with the parish, to decorate the altar, may
bring them to the parish office anytime.
Thank you!
