THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD JUNE 2, 2019
PICK OF THE WEEK What was the early Church like? Contrary to popular belief, Rod Bennett shows there is a reliable way to know. Four ancient Christian writers, four witnesses to early Christianity left us an extensive body of documentation on this vital subject, and this book brings their fascinating
testimony to life for modern believers. With all the power and drama of a gripping novel, this book is a journey of discovery of ancient and beautiful truths through the lives of four great saints of the early Church: Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, Justin Martyr, and Irenaeus of Lyons.Find these and more on the formed website. As we approach summer and begin making summer travel plans, remember to use www.masstimes.org to find a Mass anywhere you may be traveling!
In a few short weeks, we have seen a wonderful and generous response to the BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL, but we need the support of every parishioner that is able in order to reach our goal, both for the parish, and for the Diocese. Just a reminder that there are envelopes on the table in the back of church if you misplaced the one you received in the mail. Thank you to everyone who has already responded.
WE ARE ALMOST TO JERUSALEM! Our faithful walkers have made over it 5,000 miles! You are welcome to join us for the final push to get there. The box is still in the vestibule to record your weekly steps. Once we complete our journey, we will have a celebration!
The MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE OF PIKE COUNTY would like to begin again holding summer events to get members of various churches together. Grace United Methodist Church will hold the first event for this summer at their Family Life Center on Saturday June 22nd. Their church will provide food and a concert by The Great Seal of Ohio Band.
