Today we hear the story of Zacchaeus a man so interested in seeing
Jesus he gave up his dignity and climbed a tree The people of his
town saw Zacchaeus as a traitor and a cheat but Jesus saw a man des-
perate for love and mercy Zacchaeus saw in Jesus someone who did
not judge him and saw only his best and truest self How do we see
others Do we see as God sees Do we see the full dignity of every
person as beloved of God and treat them with that dignity What can
we do this week to see people differently
