For those who are not so familiar with the name, we are referring to the Steinway Piano, known among music aficionados as the top piano maker in the world. The Steinway will be in our midst churning out its soulful, joyful melody of praise at our worship space. To give you a small brief on the company and its piano that we are so thrilled about, “Steinway and Sons” also known as “Steinway” is one of the most well known and respected piano makers in the world. The company was founded in 1853 in Manhattan loft by German immigrant Henry E. Steinway. They still make Steinway pianos in their New York factory and in their Hamburg, Germany facility. Each Steinway is hand made and takes about a year to make. One of the more expensive Steinway’s took 4 years to make ! Its a true work of art made with great care, consideration and attention resulting in a true acoustic masterpiece. Steinway pianos are often heirloom pieces passed through the years and need great care and consideration to keep them at their best. We pray that this piano will enrich our musical ministry for generations to come. Music has always been an integral part of liturgy and it provides continuity within the liturgical service. What this means is that the songs are selected to reflect and echo the meaning of the readings. A lot of thought is given to the accompaniments of each hymn. In the weeks to come, as we join together to sing our Hosannas, please look forward and say “Hi” to the newest addition to our church ensemble. I am sure the newest celebrity will not mind it one bit. Pave Way for Our Brand New Steinway

For those who are familiar with the name , our parish is the proud owner of a newly minted Steinway.

Today’s reading from Isaiah described the Israelites bringing

their offering to the Lord ‘in clean vessels.’ The gift of myself

-my patient endurance and fidelity to the will of God – is as

important as the monetary gift I offer.
