We have many parts, parishioners with different talents all pulling for the same goal – to spread the Gospel. We are inspired today as we are reassured that we can be “filled with the Holy Spirit”. Hot Weather Has Arrived and St. Vincent de Paul Needs Your Help Again! The Belleville Council Society of St Vincent de Paul again this year needs donations of bottled water and Gatorade (or similar drinks) to distribute to the poor and homeless during the next few months of hot summer weather. An insurance company held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for its new building. Among
the items sealed in a capsule to be opened fifty years hence, were predictions by civic leaders. Before they placed them in the capsule,
the leaders read them to the crowd. One prediction surprised everyone: “Fifty years from now…men and women will still struggle for
happiness – which will continue to lie within themselves.”
That happiness, of course, is the peace that Christ gave to his disciples almost 2,000 years ago today. Happy are those who
