VOCATION CORNER—In Paul’s writings to the Corinthians, he states “as a body is one though it has many parts, and all parts of the body…are one body”. This is the beauty of our Church. We have many parts, parishioners with different talents all pulling for the same goal – to spread the Gospel. We are inspired today as we are reassured that we can be “filled with the Holy Spirit”. With this strength, we can zealously follow the call that God has for us – ordained, married, consecrated or single lives. Hello,

Welcome to Lane James Evilsizer (Parents: James and Lauren) as we baptize him at the 10am liturgy this Pentecost Sunday.

Let him be filled with the spirit of God. Kudos to Michael and Erin (Cervellone) Kennedy as they married Saturday, May 19th, at St.

Mary. Let them be a powerful sign of the sacrament of marriage to each other, and as a couple, to all.

Congratulations to all our graduates! THANK YOU to the high school seniors for helping at the 10am liturgy this weekend. God

bless you and your families at this special time.

Pray for our newly ordained: Rev. Steven Pautler and deacons Rev. Mr. Daniel Cozzi, Steven Eischens, John Gomez, Mark

Kabat, James Law, John Mote, Randy Riesenberger, Kevin Templin.

Happy birthday to Frances Schnieder, who will be 90 on May 24th. May you have many more happy years.

Pentecost

“Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” John 20:21

An insurance company held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for its new building. Among

the items sealed in a capsule to be opened fifty years hence, were predictions by civic leaders. Before they placed them in the capsule,

the leaders read them to the crowd. One prediction surprised everyone: “Fifty years from now…men and women will still struggle for

happiness – which will continue to lie within themselves.”

That happiness, of course, is the peace that Christ gave to his disciples almost 2,000 years ago today. Happy are those who

open their hearts to the peace of Christ. – Mark Link, SJ

Peace (and good) be in your hearts, Fr. George
