UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The Restoration is in full swing. Volun-teers gathered to remove items from the church and put into the semi!truck deliv-
ered by Keller Trucking. The pews were removed by Henninger’s in preparation to
be refinished. The �Baptismal Font has been removed and the
carpet has been ripped out in the �sanctuary. Baker!Shindler is in the �
process of punching out the walls in the main vestibules to create one large area. �
We know that many have asked for pictures as the progression �unfolds. However, it was decided to keep it as a secret so when the
church is finally unveiled, it will be FABULOUS FOR ALL TO SEE! �So we are moving and shaking...stay tuned for further updates! �

One of the greatest concerns as the restoration project was coming to fruition is the outside handicap ramp offering no shelter from the weather and also no option other than to go outside to use the restrooms. We explored many options, but finally settled on one that may work perfectly.!Enter PHASE 2�an addition to the church�enclosing the handicap ramp, making the bathrooms ADA Compliant and creating a small gathering space...this is in the infant stages so there will be more news to come so stay tuned... !

!� Our 6!8th grade students had an educational, ser-vice orientated and fun!filled trip to Washington DC. We are glad they are back! Check out Facebook for many photos of their trip.��!
!� We received an AED, donated by Mercy Health of Defiance. We plan to train staff over the summer on the use of AEDs, which is an extension of CPR and First Aid training.�!
!� Our PreK classes are filling up for 2018!19! If you know someone who wishes to send their child to PreK at HCCS, please encourage them to apply ASAP.�!
!� First grade learned about Baptism and the gifts of the Holy Spirit!� They will be learning about Mass next.!
!� Mr. Jeff, our Maintenance Supervisor, took Morning Daycare on a “bear hunt”. They’re no bears in the school. Good to know!!
