Many thanks to Fr David for making the celebration so inclusive, happy and sacred. Congratulations to Summer and the family. Next week we celebrate St Lucy’s Feast day. A special liturgy will be held on Friday 17 June at 9am. The children will be involved in a few fun activities during the day. We have 20 parents joining us for the parent retreat! We had the added joy of celebrating the Baptism of one of our students, Summer. In Matthew 18:4-5, Jesus says to his disciples: “Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me”. Later, in the same chapter, Matthew records Jesus’ words: “where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them”(18:20). In welcoming Summer into the Christian family through the sacrament of Baptism, gathered in Jesus’ name, we welcome also Jesus, and wonderfully and mysteriously, He Himself is present amongst us. Today the Senior Music Ensemble Group were lucky enough to meet some members from The Australian Chamber Orchestra. As you can see by the smiles on their faces they got so much out of the excursion and were even lucky enough to test out the instruments!

LORETO DAY

Toulouse, Bologna, Vence and Carcassonne classes went along to Loreto Day last Friday., a carnival day filled with fun, food, dancing and socialising. They all had a ball and we are very grateful to Loreto senior students for their excellent support and guidance to get the most out of their big fundraiser day.

disabilities, friends, family & carers welcome.Date: Sunday 19 June 2016

Time: 10.30amVenue: Event Cinemas Hornsby

the cinema if necessary.

Visual aids to prepare attendees for visiting the cinema will also be provided. There are also 3 headsets available for people with hearing impairments (who do not use hearing aids).

There is a lift that goes to level 4M which would give direct wheelchair access and avoids the very noisy entry foyer and Timezone area

ANNUAL GIVING

At this time each year we write to our community to acknowledge and thank our generous supporters who have contributed to St Lucy’s School over the years.

We know that every year you have a hard decision to make with your charitable giving and we appreciate those who have graciously included St Lucy’s.

St Lucy’s is a registered charity and all donations are tax deductible.

This year Poppy, Elliot and Jeremy are the heroes of our Annual Giving campaign and I encourage you to read their

inspiring journeys, written by their parents

I encourage you to share this attached flyer with your friends and family who may wish to philanthropically support St Lucy’s. They can help us make extraordinary experiences possible for our amazing children by helping us to provide services and programs that tuition fees alone can’t cover.

Thank you! Gifts of all sizes are treasured.
