From Fr. Mark’s Desk: Renew my Church is finally upon us!! As promised for about three years, St. Linus along with Our Lady of the Ridge, St. Patricia, and Sacred Heart have been called by the Archdiocese of Chicago to originate a plan for the near and distant future. As you know, the larger church has seen many changes in the last 50 years. St. Linus is no excep on. The Re-new my Church process requires feedback from parishioners. This will be the first of at least two such requests. Be-cause of the pandemic, we cannot meet in person, so the following is an opportunity for your voice to be heard. Please take the me complete the following and return it to the lobby of church, the rectory office or via email. This form is also available on our parish website. Thank you in advance for your coopera on. Sincerely, Fr. Mark Walter and the Renew my Church team. The St. Vincent de Paul Society

LOVE IN OUR WORK

Today, we hear Jesus say to us, “For whoever wish-es to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” The challenge is to let go so God can lead us. This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul enabled the poor to experience Jesus’ presence by assisting families with food and helping with utility and rent bills, etc.

What a privilege to do a favor for God in doing so for our neighbor.

—Bl. Solanus Casey
