SECURITY AWARENESS TRAINING (ALL SEAFARERS}&

SECURITY TRAINING (SEAFARERS WITH DESIGNATED SECURITY DUTIES)

ln accordance with regulation Vl/6 of the STCW 78 Gonvention as amended, seafarers holdingvalid ship security officer Certificates of Proficiency issued in accordance with Regulation Vl/5 arenot required to undergo training in accordance with Regulation Vl/6.

Certificates of Proficiency issued in accordance with Regulation Vl/6 of the STCW 78 Conventionas amended by or on behalf of a Country confirmed to be on the IMO White Listed Countries areaccepted.

Although it is not necessary to endorse the above mentioned certificates, we would recommendapplying for Certificate of Endorsement of such certificates. To apply, please apply through BOSSin the usualway.

Seafarers who have commenced their sea service on board a St Kitts & Nevis flagged vesselbefore 12th December 2013 and are not holders of Certificates of Proficiency ior SecurityAwareness Training or Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties issued inaccordance with Vl/6 of the STCW 78 Convention as amended are exempted from the provisionsof this regulation and can remain on board until the end of their contracts but no later than 12thDecember 2014.
