Anniversary Mass on Sun-day, August 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Ca-thedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. If you are celebrating either
your 25
th or 50
th anniver-
sary this year, please contact the parish office so that we may
submit your name to the Dio-cese for a formal invitation. Those
celebrating over 50 year anniversaries do not receive a formal
invitation, but will be able to register to attend at a later
date.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA) is for adults seeking to learn more about the Cath-olic
faith and is available to those individuals who: are curious to
know more about the Catholic faith or
know someone who is curious
have never been baptized
have been baptized as Catholic, but never had an oppor-tunity to
complete their sacramental experience through Confirmation and/or
Eucharist.
have been baptized in another Christian denomination, and would
now like to enter into full communion in the Catholic Church.
This is a process of discernment, instruction, prayer and
counseling to help seekers on their way. RCIA is for adults at any
stage of life who are seeking a closer rela-tionship with God and
His faith community. Now may be the right time to inquire if the
Catholic faith is the map for the rest of your life’s journey. Our
sessions meet on Mon-day nights in English and Spanish from August
to May. Stop by the Faith Formation office or call 630-832-5514.

We Need You to Share the Faith
Necesitamos que Compartas la Fe
We are looking for people to share their faith with our young
people as Catechist or Assistant. We are especially looking for
catechists for our Catholic youth on Thursday nights. Our Thursday
night pro-gram meets weekly 6-7:30pm to prepare our teenag-ers for
Confirmation and will be a time to grow our youth ministry. On
Wednesday nights grades 1-5 meet weekly, with many of those
students preparing for First Reconciliation and First Holy
Communion. Other are continuing their faith formation. We can offer
you the training, materials and support you need and you just have
to provide your love of Jesus Christ and be willing to share it.

Buscamos a la gente a compartir su fe con nuestros jóvenes como
Catequista o Asistente. Estamos buscando especialmente a los
catequistas para nuestra juventud Católica el jueves por la noche.

If your family is registered by June 1, 2018 and All tuition is
paid by August 1, 2018, returning fami-lies will receive a $85.

Catholic Charities’ Mobile Food Pantry is coming to your
Community!
Catholic Charities’ Mobile Food Pantry will be distributing food
in the church parking lot on the date and location as listed below
(rain or shine). Thursday, May 24, 2018
at St. John the Apostle Church, 330 N. Westmore Ave., Villa
Park
Registration begins at 8:30 am. Food distribution is from at
10:00 – 11:30 am or whenever the food is gone, whichever comes
first. Participants are asked to bring bags, laundry baskets,
boxes, carts or wagons to transport food and grocery products
through the line.

Baptisms: Pre-baptism Class is required before your date will be
set. Please register two to three months in advance.
Weddings: Spiritual Preparation begins at least SIX months in
