The Parish staff wishes to thank the following parish minis-tries: We thank our parishioners for their support of the Christmas Catholic Charities collection. Your generosity allows the “works of mercy” to be shared with those in need. Many bless-ings! We thank our parishioners for their support of the Trinity Dome Project collection. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception has been a century in the making since the laying of its foundation stone in 1920. We thank you for your support and generosity of this initiative. We thank our parishioners who supported the Christmas Poin-settia Sale overseen by the Boys Scouts. Many blessings! We wish to thank the parishioners who share their gifts and time as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EMs) during the weekend liturgies, daily liturgies, and those who visit the sick and the homebound of the parish. We are grateful that in giving Christ to the communicant whether at Mass, in their residence, or in the hospital/nursing home you may continue to grow in your witness to Christ’s love. We wish to thank the parishioners who share their gifts and time as Ushers. For some, this is often a misunderstood minis-try during the weekend liturgies. Know that we are grateful for the ministry of the ushers for they welcome arriving parishion-ers and guests to our liturgies, assist and direct with seating, collect the offering, direct the orderly flow of communicants, pass out the parish bulletin, straighten the pews after Mass, help in emergencies, and aid the clergy. Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes you, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, wel-comes the One who sent me" (Mt. 10:40).

Simbang Gabi refers to nine Masses in honor of Mary, traditionally celebrated in the nine days before Christmas by Filipino Catholics around the world. Join with parishioners in honoring a Filipino cultural tradition. The novena begins December 15 and culmi-nates with the “Misa de Gallo” on Christmas Eve to wel-come the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Bishops of the United States have approved a special one-time second collection to take place in parishes across the nation to support the mosaic ornamentation of the Trinity Dome, the crowning jewel of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The National Shrine has been a century in the making since the laying of its foundation stone in 1920.

Our parish special collection is this weekend, December 16th and 17th.

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity of this initiative to help complete America’s Catholic Church in advance of its 100th anniversary.
