Housekeeping
As we all know our outside bathrooms were totally redone
a year ago this October. We appreciate all those that keep
them clean and tidy, but lately we have found them
“unsuitable” for others to use. Please know that we have
cleaning items under the sink, in both bathrooms, if
needed. We appreciate everyone’s help in this matter.
Thank You
Our family cannot thank the members of Landeck St.
John the Baptist parish enough for the ways you have
supported our family since the news of Cainan's brain
tumor. While this will always be my home parish, it will
forever be a source of God’s love, kindness, and
generosity to our entire family. You truly have been a
blessing and the hands and feet of God to our family in a
time, we needed it most.
Thank you,
Patrick, Gina, Cainan, and Gideon Craun
Church Updates
The air conditioner in the parish house has been
completed and installed this past week. It is all ready for
the future summer days.
In addition, we thank everyone that has donated to the
cemetery fund. Many people have donated throughout
the year, especially on our Memorial Day Mass in the
cemetery. We will be adding seven more footers, to the
older graves on the right of the cemetery. As always,
THANK YOU for being so generous to our parish.

(Revised Rite of Marriage) Part 6 of 7 In the secular world, weddings are a huge industry and
there’s all kinds of step-by-step guides and check lists
available online. Even the most organized couple can
quickly be overwhelmed with the guest list, vendor list,
budget and invitations. Maybe a great engagement or
wedding gift to a special couple could be a weekend away
to prepare for their marriage. After all, you spend years
preparing for a career, why wouldn’t you take time to
prepare for your marriage!? The Diocese of Toledo
sponsors a wonderful workshop for Engaged Couples,
called “Joy-Filled Marriage,” guided by a team of married
couples. It’s an interactive and comprehensive program
that covers “life-skills” and the sacramentality of
Marriage. The cost is $165 and you can register online to
select the date and location that best works for you.
Landeck will host the workshop on September 23 and
later this fall, Glandorf and Ottoville are hosting. The
Diocese is always looking for married couples to help in
this ministry. Interested? Call Nick De La Torre at the
Office for Marriage and Family at 419-244-6711.
Reminder Bible Study will occur Wednesday evenings from 7 pm until 8:30 pm. There will be 10
sessions beginning on October 11. Registration forms are on the marble table, in back of Church.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
In a spirit of love, the church welcomes those who are interested in discovering the richness of our Catholic faith
to come together to discuss their personal journeys toward God. The Rite of Christian initiation or RCIA is for:
◊ Those who were baptized in other faith traditions, but now feel called to become Christian.
◊ Those who have never been baptized or do not belong to a faith tradition, but now feel called to become
Catholic.
◊ Those who were baptized Catholic, but never received First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
◊ Those who have received both Catholic baptism and First Holy Communion, but were never confirmed.
At Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist, this discernment process typically runs
from September through Easter. If you are interested in becoming Catholic or know of someone
who might be interested, please contact Sister Immacolata.
