The Serra Club of DuPage County began the Seminarian Send-off 45 years ago and continues as its sponsor and organizer. Excess proceeds are shared with the diocesan Vocation Office to assist with the formation of our seminarians.

The Victim Assistance Coordinator will report to Bishop Conlon and coordi-nate efforts of pastoral support and outreach to assist in the healing pro-cess. Summer Hours Beginning Saturday June 1st The religious education office will be open Friday’s 5:00 to 8:00PM and on Saturday’s 9:00 to 12:00 (Noon) Please note the office will be closed on The following dates: June 28th & 29th July 5th & 6th July 20th August 16th & 17th and September 7th. Religious Education classes will begin: Saturday, Sept. 21st (9:00am until 10:30am) for grades Kindergarten through 5th and on Monday Sept. 23rd (6:45pm until 8:15pm) for grades 6th through 8th. Registration for the 2019/2020 school year can be done anytime the office is open A copy of the child’s baptismal certifi-cate MUST be on file and Payment is expected at time of registra-tion.

Prayer Breakfast The Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary are hosting a prayer breakfast at the One Heart, One Soul Spirituali-ty Center at 2041 W. State Route 113 in Kankakee on Thursday, July 11 from 9:00 -10:30am. Presenter Di-ane Nilan will be speaking on the topic "Everywhere - Homeless Kids: We Can Do Better For Them." Diane Nilan, founder/president of HEAR US Inc., has more than three decades of experience running shel-ters; advocating for improved state and federal poli-cies, producing documentaries and writing books on homeless children. The most misunderstood aspect of homelessness is how many kids have no place to call home. June 23rd—Corpus Christi Sunday
Today we give special honor to the Body and Blood of Christ. It is Corpus Christi Sunday, a solemnity that encap-sulates so many of our beliefs as Catholics. The Church directs us to focus primarily on two of these beliefs: the Real Presence of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist, and the Church as the Body of Christ, continuing His work on earth. The Real Presence is something that has always been a challenging teaching. Jesus took bread and wine and changed them into His Body and Blood. The celebration of every Mass repeats this mira-cle through the worlds and actions of the priest at the Consecration.
Catholic Chari es’ Back to School Fair The DuPage County Back to School Fair, coordinated by Catholic Chari es, Diocese of Joliet will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the DuPage County Fairgrounds (2015 Man-chester Road, Wheaton). This is a new loca on this year! This annual summer event is a major countywide effort to help families who are living on low-incomes access important services to begin the school year on a posi ve note. Children who a end the fair will receive free medical and dental services; vital infor-ma on about local programs and services; and a new backpack with school supplies!
