EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
“Be still and know that I am God” (Ps. 46)
Every Tuesday, 1:00-4:00pm at St. Paul Church.
All members of our Collaborative are invited to come and spend some time
with the Lord.
WE OFFER OUR PRAYERS
for members of our Collaborative who are ill, remembering especially:
Bob, Chrissy, and Peter.
KINDLY REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS
Richard Meany
Whose funeral Mass was recently offered at the
St. John-St. Paul Collaborative.
May his soul and the souls of all our faithful departed share in the fullness of life and peace with God.
LITURGICAL DIRECTIVES
FROM CARDINAL SEAN
O’MALLEY FOR FLU
PREVENTION This year’s influenza virus is the most widespread outbreak since
public health authorities began keeping track more than a dozen years ago. To help protect the health of all, the Cardinal directs the following for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy and for flu prevention: The distribution of the Precious Blood is suspended. The exchange of the Sign of Peace should be offered without any physical contact. Please remember that those who are ill or suspect that they may be ill with a contagious illness are not bound by the Sunday Mass obligation. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the Parish Office.
OUR PRAYER LIST We are restarting our list of those members in our Collaborative who are
especially in need of our prayers. Please contact us to add or keep a name on the prayer list. St. John Parish Contact Sarah Connolly 781 235 0045 [email protected] St. Paul Parish Contact Je’Lesia Jones [email protected] or Sue Amalfi 781 235 1060 [email protected]

COLLABORATIVE NEWS
EVENING FOR WOMEN "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." ~ Psalms 73:26 Please join us on Tuesday, February 6th, St. John Parish Powers Hall at 6:30 p.m. for chapel reflection and a discussion of Palliative Care.
Palliative Care is often misunderstood, and sometime thought to be exclusively for people receiving Hospice Care at the end of their lives. Rather, it is a comprehensive approach to care for those with serious illness from the moment of diagnosis, with a goal of improving the quality of life for both patient and family. It is consistent with Catholic teaching, continuing the holistic healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The presenter will be Diane McCarthy, Parish Education Coordinator for the Archdiocese's Initiative for Palliative Care and Advance Care Planning. Kindly bring a favorite Winter dish to share. After Linda Colozzi leads us in prayer and reflection in the chapel, the program will take place during dinner.
Hope to see you then! Bring a friend!
FATHER DAUGHTER VALENTINE’S DANCE
Saturday, February 10th, 2018
6:30 pm to 9 pm in St. Paul Parish Hall
Fathers, Father-figures and special friends are invited to bring their daughters (of any age) to spend quality time with each other and experience an evening of dance and fun! Tickets are $25 for two, max $30 per family. This includes a DJ, dancing (with a dance contest), snacks, drinks & free raffle. Tickets will be sold after the 9 am Masses on January 28th and February 4th as well as at the door the night of the dance.
For more information or to help with the event contact: Eric Laplaca 617-365-5063 or [email protected]
We are hoping that our friends from St John’s will come and join us for this year’s dance.
Please note that the dance is on Saturday this year not Friday as in previous years.

WELLESLEY FOOD PANTRY "Jesus tells us what the 'protocol' is, on which we will be judged. It is the one we read in chapter 25 of Matthew's Gospel: I was hungry, I was thirsty, I was in prison, I was sick, I was naked and you helped me, clothed me, visited me, took care of me. Whenever we do this to one of our brothers, we do this to Jesus." (Pope Francis) The Wellesley Food Pantry was very grateful for January's donations and our monthly participation. Next weekend (2/3 - 2/4) will be the first weekend of February and as usual we will be collecting canned fruit and laundry detergent for the Wellesley Food Pantry. Your donations may be left in the bins at the front entrance of the church. "Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more." (H. Jackson Brown Jr.)
