Baptism Registration All of the month of October 8:00A.M.—5:00P.M. In the parish office DATE OF BAPTISM October 2, 2021
CLASSES:. Sept. 4 1PM - 2:30PM Sept. 18 1PM - 2:30PM PARENTS: Must be registered parishioners or live with-in the boundaries of St. Joan of Arc. Present child’s long form birth certificate. No copies or faxes are allowed. GODPARENTS: All Godparents (married or single) must be practicing Catholics in the faith. Godparents, must be married through the Roman Catholic Church. Couples who are married civilly (by judge) or living together cannot be Godparents. If single, must be at least 16yrs old and have received Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion. Only 1 Godparent is needed, but if there are 2, Only 1 male and 1 female will be permitted to be godparents. PARENTS & GODPARENTS Required to attend 2 Baptism Classes in order to baptize. Donation of $35.00 at the time of Registration. All documents must be submitted at the time of Registration at the Parish office.

Deben presentar el certifica-do original de nacimento forma larga del bebé. No se permiten copias o faxs. PADRINOS: Todos los padrinos (solteros o casados) deben ser Católicos practicantes de la fe. Si los padrinos son casados, deben ser casados por la Iglesia Catolica Romana. (No se aceptan padr inos que estén casados por el juéz o viviendo en unión libre como pareja. Si son padrinos solteros; deben tener por lo menos 16 años de edad y haber recibidó el sacramento del Bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación. Sólo se necesita un padrino, pero si hay dos, se permite solamente un hombre y una mujer como padrinos. PADRES Y PADRINOS Se requieren 2 clases de instrucción para bautizar. LA TOMA DE DECISIONES Hay un axioma que dice “No decidir es decidir”. Este dicho fue muy popular en los turbulentos tiempos de la Guerra de Vietnam. Nos instaba a no permitir que otros respondieran a las cuestiones morales planteadas por la participación de nuestro país en ese conflicto terrible, sino decidir por nosotros mismos. Esa clase de decisiones nunca es fácil. Evitarla es común. Jesús, por su parte, no solo era un valiente arriesgado, sino un claro tomador de decisiones. Al buscar cumplir la misión a la que el Padre lo había llamado, continuamente tomó decisiones por nosotros y por el Padre. Trabajó duro para establecer condiciones que permitieran a los demás tomar decisiones similares. Nunca tomó decisiones por los demás ni forzó a nadie a tomarlas, incluso las decisiones que tenían ramificaciones para la eternidad. Jesús nos invita a tomar estas decisiones hoy día. No estaremos absolutamente seguros. Lo que es cierto, sin embargo, es el mandato que sale de la Palabra de Dios: arriésgate. ¡Decide!
