from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Benediction is at 6:00 pm. At 6:15 pm Stations of the Cross begin, which helps us reflect on the

passion and death of Jesus. Stations of the Cross will be read by the following groups each week: Mar 23 – Senior Youth

Group - Mime Stations; Mar 30 – 3PM Good Friday – MOSTJ - Fr. Raj Reflection. After Stations the group responsible for

the Stations of the Cross each week will put on a Lenten Supper in Jordan Hall.

R.C.I.A. The Ten Commandments

God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses as he was leading the Israelites from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the Prom-

ised Land. In this uncertain time, God was their rock, the only certainty they knew. He offered them a relationship with him:

they would be his people and he would be their God. The Ten Commandments established the Israelites’ responsibilities in

this relationship. God promised to be present to protect and care for them; they promised to live by God’s commandments.

Jesus summarized them as the greatest commandment: “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your

soul, and with all your mind. . . .You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Mt 22:37-39). In Jesus’ summary, we find why

the commandments are still meaningful: they teach us how we should relate to God, self, others, and things. The Ten Com-

mandments are a measuring stick for examining our priorities, choices, habits, and consciences.

Class Topic 3/21: Morality – Ten Commandments

From Ashes to Easter With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption. We can help make things new with small, yet joyful sacrifices. The

works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor. With continued generosity to the Ashes

to Easter Lenten Mission Campaign, local missionaries are able to instruct, advise, console and comfort the poor in the mis-

sion areas they serve. Please be generous.

Baptism Class Jordan Hall, 6:30pm. Classes are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. This class is required for parents who wish to

have their child baptized. The next class will be this Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Scripture Study and Continuing Adult Education Morning group meets on Tuesday in the Annex from 9:45 to 11:30 am. Evening group meets on Tuesday in Jordan Hall

from 6:15 to 8:15 pm. Contact: Joan Potter at 254-420-1868 or Deacon Greg George at 254-424-3061. All are invited.

and Saturday Morning group in Jordan Hall at 8:00 am. For more information contact Bill Leek 716-3416.
